Region 2A has just as much heart as 1A does. I know you guys are somehow even farther back in the boonies then the 2A teams but we live and breathe football, too. It's hard not to with all the good teams in the region it just gets you excited. I know Midway is good, and Cloudland too. My prediction is

Midway- 24

Cloudland- 21

Midway and Cloudland is the best match-up on paper between the two regions. All of Midway's losses have been by seven points or less, but they also had narrow victories over Rockwood, Oneida and Greenback.

The Green Waves are young and how they react to a playoff game will be criticial. If they limit turnovers then they will be in the game. If not, Cloudland should prevail at home.

And yes, the freshman RB from Midway is good. He has about 750 yards rushing and I don't thin he got the starting nod until week 3 or 4. By the time he's a senior he could rush for 2,000 yards.

Cloudland go get-er-done. You all can do it, just have the same fire as you all did against Hampton. I am sick of everyone say region 1 is weak. But we have heart and they don't. Get-er-done and its on like Donkey Kong. I like that. Good Luck and Stay Healthy and God Bless. And go Hampton Bulldogs.

Region 1 has alot of heart - way more than people think and give them credit for. Thanx for the good luck to our team so good luck to Hampton friday night. Hopefully we'll get the chance to play Hampton again sometime soon. Good luck to Coach Keith and the Landers friday night too.

You got to be pretty good to beat Cloudland up on the mountain. Midway has a tough team but I don't think they can get it done.

Cloudland - 35

Midway - 21

That is a good point. Id say Cloudland has probably one of the best cases of home field advantage in East TN. How many games have they played on Roan Mtn since 2000 and how many of those have they lost? I would assume the number wouldnt be very high.

    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
