i really hope and pray that central beats maryville for more then 1 reason but the biggest is that zach helton deserves it. he is a warrior on the field what ever the sport may be. he is the type of kid i would have leading me into a war and im sure every player on that central team knows that the man is less then 100 percent but will give them every thing that body has to offer. so my prediction is

zach helton doesnt deserve to win more than anyone else does, i dont know why everyone always jumps on his bandwagon, he is an average quarterback whos dad happens to be the coach, get over it, he cant win the big game, and he wont tonight either. and even if he did he would get pounded in the state game if they even make it past next round, winning this game for him would just mean more embarassment in the future, go rebs

I have lived in Maryville all my life. Went through the Maryville school system up to the 9th grade and played ball. Due to family reasons I transferd to Aloca High my 10th grade year where I also played ball. All I have heard since I can remember is that MHS recruits. Guys, let me tell you now. This is NOT true. My wife, also an Alcoa grad, even argues with me that MHS recruits. Through the years I have known many of the families that have had kids playing at Maryville. And I also know that they all lived in the city of Maryville. Theres only one reason why Maryville has developed this reputation. Because they are good! Year in and year out Maryville fields teams that get-r-done. I think the type of families that live in Maryville are the big reason why the teams have been successful. Not to take anything away from other areas/teams families. Now remember, I still bleed maroon and sliver and will be at AHS tonight watching my boys take on Loudon again. I just wanted to say this on the recruiting subject. I am tellin ya. It just aint happening.
