What a sad day for baseball. Even if you weren't a Twins fan. you had to like him. Another example of how we aren't promised another day.

It's crazy, it seems like yesterday I was mad at Kirby for the way he snatched the 91 WS away from the Braves and that was almost 15 years ago! Kirby was a great player and always had a smile on his face and the baseball world will miss him dearly!!!

kirby gave the small guy hope...didnt look like a baseball player but he definately was...he was a great role model and someone i always looked up to...kirby was a great guy...you'll be missed kirb

Kirby was a great player and human being, it killed me in when he brought the Twins back in Game 6 of the World Series versus the Braves, but it was ok later because he was a classy guy

he was my role model as a kid....i was much older when his off the field issues started...kirby was a great guy...its pretty sad you trash him after his death
