WHY? were you there? I think it is funny how some people think that RHS is the only team that "mouths" but i have noticed somthing about that they dont "usually" mouth at their opponenet they mouth at each other so i wonder why you think that RIverdale initiated it and please dont think that no one else does any talking on the feild

RHS probably was just chanting "hey" again! HA! :thumb:

You guyz need to quiet down on always attacking riverdale.... Lebenon started the talking and it wasnt wood's fault that he got ejected because they hit 8 people so their was a warning.... and we hit one and the LEBENON umpires after being talked to by the coach decided to throw him out and it wasnt the umpires decision not to let the teams shake hands it was the other coaches because he was too sad off the loss.... and yes their player did take a verbal attack at trice and pleaz before we did anything so get your facts straight and quit dogging riverdale because they are undefeated and you are not.... so plz shut up if u dont nkow what your talking about

I'm curious...who hit 8 batters? If SS ran his mouth to Powes/SS....well, now I see why two pitches in a row were thrown behind his back. Maybe THAT pitcher needs to practice his "hit the batter" pitch a little more :thumb: Never said there wasn't mouthing by BOTH teams. Point was, both teams were warned and #1 just happened to be the one to hit another batter. Again, as I said earlier, didn't look to be intentional but he hit him none the less. I think everyone knows there is bad blood between Leb and Riverdale...no lost love, but certainly bad blood.

He can practice on hitting the batter and you guys need to try to practice that whole winning thing.

I think that all the players and coaches invilved in this should have to go to thier rooms and stand in the corner til they can get along...No seriously, it must have been pretty bad because usually Coach Powers is intense but he is a real Class act..I said intense but with class..But sometimes emotions do get out of hand, and I was not there so I dont know what really happened..There is no good that can come from H S kids throwing at each other whether they were told to or not..JUST PLAY THE GAME!!!

There seems to be a pattern of bad blood between Riverdale and just about everybody. Why is that do you suppose?

    • Understand the young thing.  I was one of those.  Barely 17 when I graduated from high school and started college.  But redshirting for athletic purposes isn't doing them any favors, in my opinion.  Life isn't always going to be fair.

    • The Girls Basketball team I am a part of played for a gold ball this season. One of the biggest differences in the sports is that there is no field prep/maintenance in basketball.   Our baseball is successful and play 30 games in the regular season as well. All of the teams dedicate A LOT of time in preparing for their next opponent.
    • Im pretty excited about the new rules that NFHS voted to adopt. Does anyone know if this will take place in Tennessee starting this year? I think I heard/read somewhere that the TSSAA bi-laws say they have to mirror what the NFHS does, and when the NFHS offered the current weight classes as options, TSSAA didn’t adopt them until NFHS made them official. Did NFHS make these changes official starting next season or will it be similar to the weight classes where TSSAA doesn’t change what they are doing until it is  an officially official part of the NFHS rule book? It’ll be interesting to see if it is rolled out for the new TSSAA Middle School season and I saw a post where the youth wrestling in TN was going to vote on adopting it as well.  I’ll pray for all the youth coaches that will have to shoulder the confusion from all those crazy #### parents who already think they know the rules more than everyone else  . Imagine the first time their kid is taken down and a 3 goes up on the scoreboard or their kid gets pinned with only one point of contact in the cylinder. Their heads might explode. i kid, I kid. Sort of. I’m surprised ride time was brought down with all the other changes. I know some argue that it promotes stalling on top, but its been an official scoring method in college forever, so I figure it must be doing something right. Do any of you think that’ll ever be implemented?
