Riverdale vs Ravenwood Spring Scrimmage

Riverdale visits Ravenwood on May 19 for a spring scrimmage. Ravenwood will be charging admission. Should make alot of money. Any thoughts?

IF they charge admission, every coach in Region 4, 5A should buy a ticket and take a look at the Warriors in action. Really, can they sell tickets for a scrimmage?

They can, should and will charge admission along with having the concession stand open. This is no different that Tennessee charging admission for the Orange & White game.

They have anything 'special' at their concession stand? What is their specialty. I still have to try an Oakland hotdog.

I think its a good idea to charge for admission if they are going to play it like a friday night game. But if it's just like 2min quarters then it's ridiculus to even charge 25 cents. And if they do charge admission and they get beat that's going to make them look like fools for charging to get into a scrimmage.

Coaches on the field, controlled setting, no clock, you run X number of plays, we'll run X number of plays. We'll do goal line, and kick-off (no run backs)

 

What part of the word "scrimmage" has anyone confused?

Ronnie Carter catch you making money on a non-sanctioned game it may be trouble for both teams.....Scrimages are supposed to be just that....charging money for a high school scrimmage is going to get someone in trouble quick...

 

For the record if the score was being tallied I'd take Dale...the Ravenwood Farm has too many key players to replace.

This is high school not college or the nfl. No one should have to play,although it is gonna be a great game anyway
