Thanks, I had heard it was Polk Co, but August 4th. Do you know the time?

Has South Pittsburg picked up another opponent for Friday's scrimmage? Or is it just going to be South Pittsburg and Midway?

Yes, they did and it might be a risky move. They picked up Anderson Co. (5A, I believe). And were in last year's state finals. I can't wait, I will be there and will come on here afterwards and give as much info as possible. It starts at 5:00 CST.

Actually Anderson County is 3A and didn't make the playoffs last year.

Yeah, I just read as much as possible on here about AC. They seem to be young, kind of like SP. It will be interesting. I just think it is great for these 2 teams to play since they have never before.

Well, the scrimmage was cancelled due to heavy rain and lightning. I never seen Anderson Co. there, so they must have cancelled prior, but Midway was there waiting. Sorry for the drive just to turn around and go back home, but that is Tennessee weather. Good luck in your season.

Is this true? I had heard on Friday that the teams probably wouldn't be coming back down. I hope it happens, I'm ready to see some football.

There is definately a scrimmage today...not sure who is coming, keep hearing different stories....the last story I heard earlier today was that Anderson County is coming, but not Midway.....who knows, just come on down to Beene Stadium for some great football action

Midway is hosting a scrimmage Tuesday so that's why they won't be coming down today.

I just got news that we're supposed to play Temple at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga on Oct. 13th. This should be a good setting for this game. I hope that the SP fans have a good showing at this game.
