Hate to burst the bubble, but one time at my HS when damage was done to our field and we automatically assumed it was the rival school....turned out it was kids from our BAND that did it. They were told they could NOT practice on our field for some competition b/c we had a Jr hi game later that night and lines had to be painted. They got ticked and did a LOT of damage to get even with our coach. So......it COULD be someone from your school that is doing their best to cast the blame elsewhere.

 

I hope that whoever is punished as well.

 

Of course, nation, the kids that tagged us twice were from Siegel. You know who they were and so do I. So let's not go there......

Thing I hate is the fact I didn't even get to see it yet before somebody 'modified' it.

 

I feel sure somebody will be caught and prosecuted to the fullest. It could be ANYBODY so speculation at this point would be just useless conjecture.

 

So far as I know a BUNCH of schools do this and all it does is costs money that could be better spent actually helping the kids.

that statue was put up either the week of the cookeville game or oak ridge game last year so it didnt even make it to see a home game. thing is is when it got put up i literally said "that thing wont make it to see a home game." very nice statue, probably about 3ft tall on about a 4ft brick platform. heck of alot of detail put into the carving and painting. its a shame someone had to ruin it. rubbing its head would have started a great new tradition for a new era of riverdale football .

 

i have my own hunch on what school did it, i'll keep my thoughts to myself though (and maybe cantstop and SCN08)

I went by and saw it yesterday. It's pretty messed up. Dp the schools have insurance?
