Just got an update a few minutes ago. Score was 25-0 in favor of Hendersonville with 3:00 left in the game. HHS scored 4 TD's, but struggled with the extra points. Way to go Commandos! A big win to start the year over a good team. Time to get ready for the Bucs.

ps- Wonder if Rocky played any? And any more in depth details of the game would be great!

Yes, i was there

it was pretty much all commandos

and yes rocky did play.....

and got trucked when he went up to tackle the commandos running back on the sideline. He was trying to get commandos running back david champlin. His helmet flew off and everything. He tryed to lay out Champlin but instead got put on his backside.

I heard he swung at a player on the HHS sideline but either way there was a penalty for unsportsman

so much for 'top notch'

GOO COMMANDOSS!!!

good way to start off season

Darrien Roper had a 25 yard touchdown run in the first half/Commandos displayed a bend but don't break defense/Alex Gregory had a touchdown run in the 4th quarter, Anthony Moore or Morgan had a touchdown run in the 2nd half, I believe Robert Carlton scored the other touchdown. Roper was injured in the 4th quarter/MCL sprain

Hopefully its not a bad injury. He seems to be a good young player. What was the score at half? I'm just wondering if it was close early on or not. Either way, its a key win. Big momentum to start the year. Now beat Beech!!!!!!!!

it was 6-0 at half

then 12-0 after 3

then mid 4th it was 25-0

and wilson central called timeout after timeout with under 30 sec on the clock just to get a score. They called a timeout with 0:00.6 on the clock(no respect)

and they busted it in from the 2 yrd line to make it 25-6

like i said GO commandos

Glad to see Hendersonville start the season out with a win.

Very weird that they kept calling timeout when the game was in hand. They should of just let the clock go. Somewhat unsportsmanlike, but i guess Aric felt they needed a score for some sort of moral boost going into next week or something. I'm just glad HHS controlled the game and won handily.

    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
