I don't know much about hillwood this year but indy has an edge coming off of a win that in my opinion was kida sloppy. Indy is rolling along but is gonna need some fine tuning to their team if they want to beat the likes of the brother woods and franklin.

Indy should beat Hillwood. The 2 major things they need to work on is reducing penalties (11 for 95 yards in the Page game) and their special teams play. Against the tougher teams they will not be able to recover from those types of mistakes. I know the coaching staff will be concentrating on eliminating those mistakes this week.

The real season starts the following week against Centennial. However, Indy will not overlook Hillwood this Friday. Too bad the game will be played at Bellevue Middle. Our team travels well and will be there no matter where it is played.

a few years ago when they had that huge year in 4-a, the first game of the year was delayed by about 2 hours because the lights wouldn't come on.

Those may be the same lights from when the school was built in like 1959 or whenever.

Metro needs to pony up. If kids are in football or band, they won't be on the street getting into trouble (hopefully)...letting facilities crumble sends the wrong message about extra-carricular activities.

I have not seen that field in years...but know that it is usually in BAD SHAPE, as is the case many times with metro fields.

INDY "should" destroy Hillwood, not even close if they play like they are capable. The problem I see is the huge possible letdown after such a heated rivalry game with Page and also the peak ahead at Centennial, which will be the "test' for IHS as their region play begins.

Good luck to the Eagles, and stay safe and free of injury as you travel to Hillwood....or should I say Bell Vue Middle?

I think it's funny how you guys talk about Hillwood so badly. Sure, they have their issues, but doesn't everybody? I remember an Indpendence game I went to last year & their students/players & even Parents had THE WORST sportmanship I have EVER seen. They were the rudest youngins I've ever been around& I'm embarrassed for them.

If Indy does beat Hillwood, tell me your kidding when you say it makes you feel good about yourself. Quit all the rude talk.

    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
    • It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.
    • That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.
    • Trez's last scandal has died down, so I guess this is there opportunity to be the best 4A team playing in 2A a la Sissy MTN.  At least they won't be in a Z-district with 1a teams in the regular season.
