Temple @ Lookout Valley

I can't speak specifically for LV, but a lot of small schools in the area get field houses etc by donations and fund drives not soley tax dollars. The marion county school board tried a few times to get rid of football at the 3 HS. That went over like a lead balloon and some boardmembers got un-elected immediately.

I've seen LV field a team every year for years, often with under 20 players and play the Pirates and MC etc. when Boyd would opt to not play the Pirates by not competing for the District title and play offs. As far as I'm concerned, LV built a tradition over the years by not being afraid to play anyone. Temple is new and are of to a good start. But LV has paid their dues and deserve a string of good luck as long as it isn't agains the Pirates. :thumb:

nicely put

Okay fatchance here we go we aren't even in to basketball season and you are already running your mouth, always hating on Temple. Who cares where they practice, it wouldn't matter if they practiced in a parking lot, as long as they get done what they need to get done. And I know that is bull crap saying they had players laying on the sideline, I talked to one of the coaches yesterday and they said that it was a great practice and the kids were extremely focused on what they have to get done on Friday night. Both of these schools have quality teams, and it will be a great game on Friday. I think that this game will decide 2nd place in the region. I know it is early but that is my prediction, and this will be a great ball game.

Everybody calm down! You gotta admit a corner lot is ridiculous and how long they had a program? Five years or so? And still nothing? And I seen the guy sleepin, layin up against a house, oh yea, they have houses on their corner lot, a whole bunch of them! Of course the coach is going to say that they are focused and ready, what else is he going to say? And I aint' hatin on temple, just statin the facts...This one is money folks, Valley will not lose this game...period. And yes, basketball is just around the corner and Im just gettin warmed up!

yes, it is ridiculous -- but what's it to ya? and you don't know the reason for the kid layin up against the house. maybe he was hurt or something. the fact is you have no clue who is going to win this game. what you can put your money on is that both of these teams are going to give it their best effort to win. it should be a very good game to watch.

What are you "gettin warmed up" about?

Temple did give up one sack but overall did a fine job, at the goalline right before they recovered a fumble in the end zone. Temple's line has two players with pretty good size, the others aren't very big but they're quick. It helps to have a 240 or bigger fullback/linebacker, and it helps the defense to have a 6'4" 225 defensive end who everyone first thinks of as a receiver (Skogen). It was just the jamboree but Lookout Valley did not run well at all against Sequatchie 10 for 15 yards, Temple gained close to 200 rushing for the game not counting losing yards on a bad or fumbled punt snap. Did #22 play for Temple last year, I just don't remember him at all.

Indian LV did not have a starting back in the Jamboree, they had minor injuries so Coach Web held them out.

I honestly think you have lost your mind, what exactly are you basing your so called "guarantee" that Lookout Valley is gonna win on. I think this will be a great ball game between two fairly even teams, so how can you guarantee that Valley is gonna win. Oh that's right Temple practices on a vacant lot full of grass, yes grass just like the grass that Lookout Valley practices on, so that has got to be the sole reason that Lookout Valley will dominate Temple. What a joke?

According to his jersey number in the jamboree program, Scruggs was in there in the first quarter, not against Bledsoe. Had few yards. I'll look that up again and change it if necessary.

I talked to Scruggs, he was in street clothes, as well as three other guys.
