Clinton vs. South Doyle

This one surprised me. I really thought Clinton would win.

Welcome to the real world Clinton. I guess when you lose to the second worst team in East Tennessee after beating the worst team last week, the Dragon's fans and their playoff hopes can see what is ahead of them. Basketball season. How can a 3-20 team get cocky? Clinton might beat Lenior City but will lose the rest of them and the next long losing streak has begun. How many years has it been since you guys have won two in a row? Where is that turnaround corner? I hate to be hit a Dragon when their down, but they have been down for years so why not? The Mavs in a blowout next week.

I gotta admit that I'm real surprised at this one as well. I think this is great for the kids at S-D. After all the negatives surrounding the program, this must feel like a 1000lbs gorilla is off their backs. S-D has a good shot at 2 in a row against a very weak Gibbs team next week,

 

For Clinton, I hope they do improve, but I just don't see them winning much this year. This one has to be a real slap in the face.

Coon, I haven't heard anything about practice. What I do know is that in about 9 hours, SD is about to get SMOKED, DRAGON STYLE.

I am glad to see that a couple of S-D fans finally got on, it looks like they are looking for another big loss too. after 5743's post, I believe I will change my score, to another 42-0 blowout. It sounds like S-D has lost all of their confidence!!!!

Well I am very, very proud of the Kees for last nights stomping of the Dragons. I noticed the Coonhunter and the great Dragoon have been very quite today, WHERE ARE ALL THE CLINTON FANS!!! Anyway great game to the players THEY earned it and deserved it. I have never seen them play that hard and with that much heart. Oh by the way to any Dragons that might be reading, do you all practice your cheap shots, or do they just come naturally?? I was just wondering cause you sure do have a lot of them

Congrats to the Kees! I've seen alot of negative on here about the coaches, maybe some of those posters should be eating a little crow as Hutchins and staff did an excellent job last night. I'm sure that win will go along way in helping the players gain the confidence they need to be successful. Good luck Kees!

Well some of us negative posters aren't eating yet. The coaches have alot more to prove. The players have been proving themselves for along time. I will say I was glad to see some different plays being run Friday night, maybe the coaches are FINALLY learning to change up the game plan a little. Anyway I 'm still very glad for the players. THEY are the ones that EARNED it. As for the coaches...they have a lot more to prove.

i agree the boys have been working hard. I dont think 1 game says the coaches have going the right way but it is agreat win. I still dont believe the coaches are very good. By the way didu see who homecoming is and it is comcast gane of the week? I wonder who had that set up? AD

Well what do you expect, apparently once a Powell Panther always a Powell Panther. I do think it is the comcast game of the week just not real sure. I have heard the only reason he picked this game was because he thought it would draw more money for homecoming,( (yeah right) it was originally going to be Gibbs. Anyway this stuff is going to keep happening as long as the parents allow it too. I have exhausted all avenues and am about ready to throw in the towel. I sit at these games and listen to everyone complain about the AD and the coaches but I never hear of anyone having the guts to do anything about it. Power travels in numbers. I have been fighting the fight a long time. The only way things will change is if more parents would speak up, but I guess they would rather sneak around and whisper about it , then actually do anything about it But as always GO KEES, and I am very proud of you guys.
