Springfield is 5-0.......after Friday nights game with Hunters Lane! Hunters Lane put up a good fight! They were putting hard hits on Springfield and Springfield was putting hard hits on Hunters Lane. This game was the best game of the week in my opinon. It came down to the last 3 seconds of the game to decide the winner. Both teams faught there hardest and did not give up any! They played 4 great quarters of football.

What are the strengths and weakness of these two teams? Who has the best offense, defense, and special teams?

 

Hunters Lane is known for their speed and running game. Thats their forte. Their passing game has come into play this year alot more...by moving into the shotgun. Defense needs work..the basics of tackling mainly. Had alot of problems with that against Maplewood and Overton. Contained Holt from Maplewood in the first half....but couldnt in the second. Cant stop a good offense with arm tackles. Just doesnt work.

 

Special teams..as always in metro...isnt great. Kicking game mainly...hard to find a decent punter and place kicker. Yes, you can scout the soccer team for someone..but its a lot harder to kick a football in full pads than a soccer ball. HL lost their kicker to travel soccer... and I dont think they have found a replacement yet.

Only week 5 too early to predict running the table for anyone. Injuries and ect make football what it is, a truly unpredictable game.

Jo Byrns plays nobody, the hardest game for them is cascade, i had no say in Springfield running the talbe cause of exactly what u said,
