What happened Tigers? Once again, the defense gives up to many points. I want tocongradulate Temple on a very impressive win. It just seems to me that Whitwell has regressed the last 2 years, while the other region teams have improved. That should not happen with 14 seniors. The offense works pretty well until we get behind then we have no answer for the other team. Will things change next year or will it be the same? I am not writing this year off,but we have to beat Silverdale to even make the playoffs. If that does not happen, then it will be a 4-6 season. Pretty bad after a 4-1start.

I just wanted to say congratulations to the guys from Temple, you guys played the best game I have seen you play all year. I was so proud to see us totally focused on what we had to do last night, and not jump ahead to next week. NOW we can start looking towards next Friday and South Pittsburg. The best part about the game next week is that all the pressure is on them to win, not us, we can go into the game totally relaxed and just play our guts out. Stay focused this week in practice, and know that no matter what you can win this ball game, that is the first step towards victory.

Slick Rick tried to tell everyone that Whitwell is a muffin team. Slick Rick was surprised that Temple beat them as bad as they did. After Marion beats SP this week, Temple may make it two in a row next week.

As good as MC has been in the past years and as big a rivalry as it is in the valley, I would be surprised to see MC pull this one off. South Pittsburg has a dominating offense and a strong defense. No team has scored more than 14 points against them. Three teams have scored 14 points and three were held scoreless. Truthfully, though, I do not know much at all about Marion County and I am planning on making the trip tonight to see what will hopefully will be a great game for both teams.
