I don't know very much about Riverside except they have been struggling with injuries this year. I know Perry County, with the exception of the Mt. Pleasant game, has been very competitive. 3 of their losses have been by a total of 9 points...it truly is a game of inches. It's disappointing to lose close games, but you just have to put that hat back on & get back to work on the practice field.

Coach Bradley is doing a fine job. It takes time to turn a program around; the boys are playing hard & there are some good players not only on the team but also on the way up in the Jr. Hi ranks. If the community & school administration will get behind the coaches & team they can accomplish great things.

Question. What is up with Perry county? Beats C.A then loses to Moore County.

Moore County was due. Its not that they don't have talent, but its more that they just can't put it all together. They finally did againt PC.

Of their 5 losses, they lost to MP, Cascade, Eagleville, Huntland, and CA. All those teams are solid. Its not like they were losing to Cornersville or Red Boiling Springs.

well idk 2 much about perry co, i know we scrimmaged them but i didnt git 2 go...but i have heard that they are pretty quick...we shut out riverside friday night 23-0 and we didnt give all we had, but i say that perry county should win....mainly bcuz riverside has got a bad case of the injurys and they jus need a game w/ none....but if they can work on conditioning and finding ways to keep their players safe they should be alrite...

Perry Co: 20

Riverside: 6

Does anyone over in Linden know how Calvin Zemmer is doing. I just heard about his accident yesterday?

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Mallory Scott.

Haven't heard any details. He was in my stepson's class in school. Thanks for your concern for him and Mallory.

Thanks for the info on Zemmer. This is a terrible tragedy. Calvin is a good kid. I cant imagine what the Scott family is going through, but everyone should pray for them and for Calvin.

vikingpride,

you should start a prayer thread for them both, explaining what happened. I would but I dont really know what happened other than it was an automobile accident.

    • When she starts farting around with the football team the powers in Maryville will run her out of town on a rail and everyone connected with letting her in the door. You saw what happened when Alcoa's radio announcer thought he was coming to Maryville, the people rose up and stopped it.
    • 20 but had 5-6 not dressed every game. It went down towards the end due to injuries and obviously only 15 got to dress for the state tournament. Then, they only lost 2 from this year and gain 8 from the middle school for next year
    • As somebody mentioned before, this is going to result in a massive lawsuit, can you imagine professional "educators" actually having the conversation about getting "the bad kids" out of the high school?  And the head coach asking directly to change grades, gets turned down, comes back again and gets it approved?  This is unbelievable.  In addition to the lawsuit, the state Department of Education is going to come down extremely hard on this.  WYSH is on the war path.  There could be dozens more lose their jobs by the time this is over.  And yeah the real shame is the kids being affected that literally had nothing to do with this and actually worked hard to earn their grades.
    • I've heard Powell from someone who talked to him. I saw the kid two days ago and I should of pulled over and talked with him and wished him well where ever he goes. It will be a ale of a loss for us because I don't believe we have anyone in the stable good as him from what I seen in the spring.
    • I would have to think that the firing of the 2 teachers is just the beginning of future moves.  If not, it is woefully short.  If the AC school board thinks that the damage is just limited to Clinton, they are sadly mistaken.  Any outsider would view the whole school system as suspect, and rightly so.
