In order for Stewart County to play at home in the scenario you threw out, CreekWood would have to lose both of their remaining district games. CreekWood has the tie breaker by virtue of their win over Harpeth earlier in the season.

Good job to Cheatham for capitalizing on Harpeths mistakes, but I do not see Harpeth losing next Friday at home and it being Senior Night, there is absolutly no way.

MY PREDICTIONS!!!!!

 

Sycamore will beat Harpeth next Friday night and win the regular season district title. Harpeth will finish #2.

 

Cheatham Co. will beat Creek Wood Tuesday night and finish #3 in the district. Creek Wood will finish #4 & Stewart Co. #5 (this is because CW beat Harpeth once while Stewart got swept by Harpeth).

 

Fairview will beat Waverly Central on Monday night and finish #6 in the district. Montgomery Central will finish at #7 in the district with Waverly Central rounding out the standings at #8.

Cheatham was also very patient on offense and got a lot of shots in the paint by spreading Harpeth out and making them guard them on the perimeter. Basically Cheatham shortened the game and kept Harpeth out of any offensive rhythm. Harpeth took the lead by increasing the pressure on the Cubs and forcing turnovers. After getting the lead Harpeth looked like they thought Cheatham was finished. Cheatham County took the shot and then responded to pull off the upset.

 

That and a questionable blocking foul that put Beech at the line in a tie game. That call could have gone either way.

I did agree about that blocking call HOWEVER one must also be aware that the "intentional foul" that the officials called on Joey in that game was about as terrible as it gets

Big Country you sound quite confident in the pick of Sycamore over Harpeth next friday. If any one player such as lohin... who is key for them, messes up early... you might as well call it game over for them because the student section wont let it go!! (AIRBALL ) and the intentional foul was a good call you cant mugg the player when he goes up for a layup in the closing points!

What was funny about that call is they blew the whistle at the free throw line and they still counted the basket.

I really think that the pride and the homecourt advantage will be too tough for Sycamore to overcome next Friday. The indians will rebound from this and i would really hate to be MC on tuesday b/c Harpeth will be mad and ready to play. They will be ready for Sycamore.
