The last hour on here has me about to starve to death!!!!!!!!!!! Wes, is either Lakeview or Blue Bank on the Right????

Me,you,Butchie, duckman and bigster could score 38.8 points per game against Lake County's schedule....

You are comparing apples and BIG ORANGES when you compare points scored by Lake County and points scored by Trenton,Dresden and Huntingdon versus their schedule....You just can't do it...Lake County is a good 1A football team but you can't compare level of talent in 1A football to 2A and 3A....This isn't basketball...

Back I appreciate your confidence in my old ability, and I'm in for all the eating contest u want to enter me in. Sign me Up!!!! But, ur post is right on.

I've seen both teams play and unlike every one else that seems to think Lake Co gets tired and just roll over in the second half,,,in that U.C. game..Lake had run the ball inside the 10 and instead of having a 1st and goal were looking at a 4th and 15..That was a huge play..And with 4 minutes to play L.C. had a 4th and 1 at about the 3o yard line and could have sealed the game only to be called for a false start..Again..instaed of 4th and 1..it's now 4th and 6 and we decedided to punt..But we lost and give U.C. credit...now..as far as the Rebels ..yes they look better than last year...The quarterback has a good arm..But..On a couple of those long passes he floated the other night..don't be surprised to see Sep Valentine and Springer intercepting a couple..It also looked to me that he favors throwing to his right a lot more...Just something Lake Co players may notice in films..And ..those onside kicks..Surely Lake Co has seen this already..I know sometimes it just happens in recovering an onside kick..but I hope the Rebels try it a bunch Friday night and give us less yardage to score...The Rebels look to have several good backs but I believe the L.C. speed will fool a lot of people....Another key could be if Yancy is healthy..I saw several times in the U.C. game if Yancy would have had the ball in the same situation..with his speed ..he would have scored..I've heard Yancy was okay..and I also heard he was doubtful..Doew anyone in L.C. know his status? I don't believe this game is going to be a blowout like most Rebel and U.C. fans think..Butchie..I hope your son is ready for a little Springer and Yancy..And better not forget about Sep Valentine either..

Bottom Line. Even though McKenzie did beat Union City and really wasn't as close as the score indicated, Union City and McKenzie schedules prepares THEM ( UC & REBELS ) for the post season. Just look at U C record last year and what happen to the Falcons both in the post season.

In no way will Lake Co. be able to handle ( 4 ) quarters of what the McKenzie Rebels have instore for you. I Have seen them both play and I realize we are into the season and everyone should be close to their BEST.

Lake Co. just doesn't do a good job with their off game scheduling is all I am saying. Take the 3 main schools that we have talked about here: Lake Co., Union City & McKenzie. Look up their schedules and the rest is history. Milan, Obiob Co., Westview, Huntingdon, Camden is who these teams face each year. And yes there may be loses their but I does prepare you in the long run.

I hope this is a good game but I predict that when the hamburger grills are out for the night the smoke will still be in the air of the stadium and mainly from the HOT Rebels burning up the Lake Co. Field.

Good Luck to both teams!!

OK but I got dibs on tackle on the o-line...I'm one of the ORIGINAL Hogs at UCHS....Class of 84..... ;) But I gotta have the old purple helmet with the yellow face mask and an ambulance on standby....Let's play Saturday afternoon, the mosquitoes aren't so bad and I got to go to midfield and escort big #74 at the Central-Chester Co game for Senior Night festivities Friday night in Troy.....

Boyettes has a bbq place seperate from the original restaurant....

(although the weather will be another determining factor, it's supposed to be COLD).

I remember back to the day when I played on a frozen field or two and while playing I don't remember ever feeling the cold. I DO remember my feet killing me because it felt like my cleats were digging into my feet insead of the ground (which they were!), slipping and falling and hurtin' myself because it was like playing on a rough hockey rink. But, I wasn't cold!!!!!!

It'll possibly be in the low 40's at game time and that will be a lot harder on us in the stands than on the kids on the field!!!!

To participate in this pick up game I'll require an oxygen bottle and another ambulance (with REALLY good paramedics) for me and that's just if I'm only coaching!!!!!!!!!!! I would be a LB, and OL/receiver thing.

Possibly we should just round up all the kids that are always playing touch football behind the stands every Friday night and devide them up and coach them. Fewer folks in the hospital afterwards for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I won't need a helmet, I still have my 'ol Rebel helmet!!!! We have got it pretty bad ya'll!!:lol:

Hey, I heard about Boyette's BBQ place earlier. Is it the real deal??? Real good or just OK?? Where is it?

Hey backinthaoc, I've got a very good friend of mine that played at OC and then Dresden then jplayed for Murray State a few years back. I've duck hunted the 'Foot with him a lot of times in the last few years. Got any idea who I'm talking about??? I think he was a LB, Punter at OC, Dresden and Murray State.

Oh yeah, one other thing. We've discussed every possible factor coming into this game and no one has convinced anyone from the "other" team to concede their point. Good for everybody. Great school support. The game will hopefully live up the the support. It sure did last season!!!

Truth is these two teams will decide the issue on the field and we'll still all talk again next week. I could quote stats, #'s, observances, theories untill the cows come home and the kids will still decide it on the field Friday night.

See ya'll there!!!!!

I believe Mckenzie takes this one. LC is good and has some athletes, i know the Yancy kid got hurt tonight but dont know of the extent to his injury. I believe it will be just like the UC-MC game and be somewhat close till the half, and then MC takes control in the second half. Good luck to both teams.

He will be good to go. :thumb:
