All I am wondering is why didn't Willie Randolph bunt over the runners with no outs. That would of put LaRussa in a difficult situation with Reyes up to bat. Randolph did not do his best managing in the last inning. In the 9th it looked like the Mets had never seen a curveball. I think the homerun just put away and the Mets and Randolph through in the towel. Oh well, I am a Tigers fan now.

National League Championship #17 is nice. But I'm greedy, 4 more wins. I know everyone says Cardinals don't have a chance and NL hasn't won a WS game since 2003, but everyone said they had no chance to beat the Padres and Mets either. I think I'll just sit back and watch and see if they can somehow pull this off. Wouldn't it be ironic that after winning the most games in baseball each of the last 2 years they won WS after winning only 83 regular season games.

At this point, who knows? The Cards are playing with house money now. Everyone was cheering for a collapse, then they would never make it through the Padres staff, then the Mets lineup would score 7 a game against them.....and look where they are.

Congrats to all the cardinal fans on this board. I am glad to see you guys beat a former expansion team. Cardinals and Tigers. These are two grand old Franchises with storied traditions with a long history in the sport of Baseball. This is what October is all about. Good luck to both teams. I am an American League guy so as a fan I would like to see a classic series. Sorry guys but now I must cheer on the Tigers.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
