g'fieldfan
A win over Westview makes a huge statement. The Greenfield vs. Westview game was a very hard fought game by two good teams. I'm excited that Greenfield was on top in the end! With that huge win last night, hopefully it will give the girls confidence for the rest of the season! They have two hard weeks coming up....South Fulton(H), Halls(A), Lake Co.(A), and Gleason(A)!
Greenfieldfan
Greenfield wins over Westview 55-45. Greenfield led the whole game as Rhiannon Caudle leads the way with 20 points, Anna Allen played very well with 14 points. Great team effort with several girls contributing in the win. Girls keep playing hard and take it one game at a time. This is going to be a fun year! (Great win for us over a good AA team) Go Lady Jackets Edited November 28, 2006 by Greenfieldfan

It could cause a team that could hit 35 in a half score 35 in a game We've actually scored 29 in a quarter this year but after winning the hall of fame tourney in houston, we suffered a major meltdown but bounced back to score a season high 75 the very next night. Season high lol it's only been 5 games...hold on coach don't get beside yourself... Edited November 26, 2006 by coachgat

It's hard to understand how a team can play like "world beaters one night and "ned n' the reader" just two nights later, but I could see during warm-up that the girls were not focused, or not concentrating on the task at hand. Hopefully the game with S.F. got their attention. Edited December 1, 2006 by ghsdad
mrbigster
Greenfield beats Westview but loses to both South Fulton and Lake Co...Gleason also only beat a young Lake Co team by about 6 points...Maybe all these teams are closer than most people believe this year ..It's stll early so maybe Greenfield will get going.. CoachD33
Play-in games and quarterfinals will be played at higher seed. This will shorten the length of time needed to play a ten team district tournament. Regular season 7 will host 10 and 8 will host 9 with winners advancing to the quarters. Then 4 hosts 5, 3 hosts 6, 2 hosts winner of 7-10, and 1 hosts winner of 8-9. Semifinals & finals will then all be held at Dresden. Region tournaments statewide will follow a similar format with district tournament winners & runners up hosting 4th place & 3rd place teams from the other district respectively. Region 7A semifinals and finals will then be held at West Carroll. tree fitty..Is it something you can share?

Thanks NW..that should really help the top seeds..playing the early game at home..And the top 2 teams in each district staying home in the region also...Tanks for the input! treefitty74
Sorry about not getting back earlier, but NW said it all.....Is this the same way for all classifications or just Single-A???
Not-so HeavyD
Sorry about not getting back earlier, but NW said it all.....Is this the same way for all classifications or just Single-A??? I think that the region tournament format is the same state wide........district, however, is up to the school's to decide..
mrbigster
So far this district has all the teams play each other pretty close..Greenfield seems to be playing better...Gleason has beaten Collinwood,a team that I believe is in most people's top 10 or maybe top 5 and several of our teams have played Gleason to very close games.. Lake Co has a very young team ,starting two sophomores and two juniors and were believed to be in the middle of the pack..But thus far are in second place with only 2 losses..I believe Greenfield is in 2nd and Dresden and Union City 4th..There's still a ways to go so I'm curious how everything will work out..!
