No,MJ is a true purple and gold Union Citian...Lived there all his life,son of former Union City great Marshall Brown,who up until recently was the all-time leading scorer at Union University....Union City doesn't have the luxury of recruiting talent like some schools do....

But you got to admit,if they had two starters out,that would hurt their chances...Also I hear they are a group of players that were kinda thrown together via the recruiting trail..Maybe it will take some time for them to mesh as a unit...But,I have to say you are right,they should have beaten DCA anyway...

 

 

is union city where marquis weddle played last year? and if it is what college is he playing at now? also if union city is playing ensworth ==ensworth has like 8 sophmores and 2 juniors on their squad. they have a sophmore tavarres jefferson who is 1 of the best sophmores in the state . if he can grow he could go big time d1 somewhere

Not very many people will beat the Tomcats if they play like they did in that beating they gave Bolivar the other night. Remember that they also dominated Union City for three quarters before blowing the game late and they also played Liberty tough for one half of basketball before completely falling to pieces in the second half. Haywood is an excellent basketball team that can not only be a threat to win this tourney but they are also a threat to win that tourney in Murfreesboro in early March

Haywood didn't blow that game....They couldn't keep up in the fourth quarter....Union City stole the ball time after time..Union City took that game from Haywood....
