MJ AND BEYOND
Reg 5 smoked 6 last year! I see the home team winning each first round game: Hillsboro Maplewood Springfield Mt. Juliet The Bears are the hottest team in Reg 6, and will go well into the playoffs! Balanced, DEEP O and a stingy D. This team has quite simply jelled for Coach Perry and may be peaking at the right time! Go Bears!
MJ AND BEYOND
Mj vs. Tullahoma - something to think about... Tullahoma has a big time QB/passing game. Checking stats (via Tennessean reports) here is a look at MJ pass defense: 10 games - MJ has allowed 919 yds (91.9 per game), 6 TD's, and has 16 INT's The last 4 games (winning streak that clinched 2nd spot in Region) - MJ has allowed 402 yds (100.5 per game), 2 TD's, and has 11 INT's Bears shut down T's passing game, and score 21 points. Bears by 10.

midtnmale
I see Hillsboro, Maplewood, Springfield, and Tullahoma winning their games. And the only reason I see Springfield winning it for Region 6 is because while Stratford has the talent, it lacks a whole lot of discipline. If the Spartans were just a little more disciplined it would be another 5-4A sweep of 6-4A

Tullahoma gives up too many points.

While I admit I've never seen Mount Juliet play, I have seen Tullahoma play three times. Statisically, the Golden Bears defense appears to be good. But with the exception of this past game their offense hasn't scored the amount of points I think they will need to beat the Wildcats The Wildcats' offense can be shut down against better defenses. But it's usually not until after they have scored two of three touchdowns first.

Defense wins playoffs, MJ's ground game controls the clock and does not give Tullahoma that many opportunities to score. Taylor Cisneros has only 47 completions BUT over 1,000 yards in the air for a very decent avg. per completion (the Bears can light it up more than you might think!) Big Country
Well Tullahoma, which is all the way out in BFE travels to MJ.My pick is Mt. Juliet Just like last year's games Region 5-4A is about to SWEEP Region 6-4A.
bellgo
Mt. Juliet vs. Tullahoma will be a real good game. The Wildcats should not take the Bears lightly and don't their record fool you. Their probably one of the most dangerous teams going into the playoffs. I pick Hillsboro, Mt. Juliet, Maplewood, and Springfield to win on Friday.
