Thanks for speaking for me.

Now that I can speak....

I've said that Galyon has Crumbley's number. And I said it may be unfair to label that as outcoached. For example, Spurrier teams beat Tennessee with Fulmer. Is that out-coaching, it could be and it generally is unfair to do so -- but the media always plays that Spurrier outcoaches and/or has Fulmer's number.

I've yet to see where this was something about women coaches.....but....ok.

Crumbley over Galyon 44-14. I think I will take the high road on this one Mr Media.

So Galyon no longer has Crumbley's number. I knew West would have problems scoring the way they played in the 2nd half last week, but 14? and 5 in the second half? Geez.

Cherokee laid one on Jeff County it seems.

East and Cocke County played a terrible game. Cocke County shot 11/56 from the field and 4/32 inside three pt range. 3 of the 2-pt field goals were from Depew and the other from Kelsey Lloyd. East was 15/51 from the field. But maybe all the tackling and throw downs in the first Five Rivers Football game of the season could be attributed to that terrible shooting?

Score was 18-11 East at half. Cocke County scored 2 in the 2nd quarter. East scored 6 and 5 in the second and third respectively.

Leah Leeper scored 14 in the fourth and the game was back-and-forth, despite the terrible shooting. East pulled ahead by 2 in the final minute and Depew caught the ball and made a move in the lane and was called for a more than very-questionable charge (made by an official with notable Morristown East ties, mind you) for her fifth foul. I think a lot of East folks were thinking it wasnt a very good call. The inbounds resulted in a foul and Leeper hit both free-throws to seal the deal.

Oh well....looks like that 4-6 scenario is very very possible now....

If this happens, I hope Larry Williams - CCHS AD and Tourney Director - has a roll of quarters to break all these ties...or something.

I have no clue how it would work.

Jefferson and Cocke split. Cocke swept West. Cocke and East split. It would mean a West/East split. Cherokee would've swept Cocke County. Jeff and West and Jeff and East have split. West swept Cherokee and East and Cherokee split. Jeff and Cherokee split.

It would have to go straight to a draw as long as overall record doen't mean anything. And I understand that overall record doen't figure in.

None of that would matter if this scenario plays out.

Each of the tied teams would have a 4 and 4 record against the pool of tied teams.

Head to head kind of thinking just doesn't mean anything in that instance.

There was a four-way tie for first place in softball last year. They all shared the regular season championship and drew numbers for seeds.

And now that the memories a 4-0 conference start for Jefferson County have been beat out of the back of my mind, I should be good to go the rest of the season :thumb::thumb:

Im taking Greeneville

Jefferson County (why? I dont know  )

and Cocke County

Ok so I'm just too ignorant to wise up I guess. At least Jeff Co plays Greeneville next week so I wont even be tempted.

Baseball season yet? :(

I know...

Just posting out the scenarios in case all five other teams lose next week. Which may be possible, because everything else has happened. A team that started out 4-0 will likely finish 4-6......yikes....
