last years coalfield hampton game it was freezing!!

Yeah, I opted to stay home for that one! It must have been cold outside because I listened to the game on the radio and had central heat going, a portable heater in front of me, and wrapped up in a blanket and was still cold!! I wonder how cold it'll be for the rematch Friday? I was considering going, but if it's too cold, I might just make a pot of coffee, crank up WECO and kick back in my recliner like last year! What is the forecast for East Tennessee games Friday anyway?

The 1975 Maryville vs. Ketron (Kingsport) playoff game. 19 degrees at the end of the game with a stiff breeze.

 

My dad attended the 1950 Tennessee-Kentucky game. After a freak blizzard that weekend, more than a foot of snow fell at Neyland Stadium and the game time temp was 12 degrees. Dad said people actually set fire to the old wooden bleachers inside the stadium to keep warm.
