2A Region -2007-8

Region 6: East Hickman, Fairview, Harpeth, Hickman County, Lewis County, Loretto, Richland

 

Well it's going to be an interesting season next year. It will be really interesting seeing East Hickman team's first game with us! I know there are a lot of kids that don't play because its hard for them to get home from practice from Centerville. This is great they will be given an opportunity to play!

 

Welcome and its great to be back playing with some old favorites! See you next season folks!!

So much for the Camden, Lewis Co. rivalry... hopefully this means coach Sharp will pick some harder teams to play now that the already beat Hickman every year...

It will be interesting to see if he can get five non-regional games? Trust me dudo, it isn't a case of Coach Sharp trying to schedule tougher games. Bigger schools don't want to play us as there is nothing to gain for them. Lawrence County dropped us, Mt. Pleasant dropped us, Columbia refused to play us... he has tried several west Tennessee teams who will remain nameless but refused to play us.

 

I think Waverly is going to stay on the schedule and Wayne County but finding three more is gonna be a chore.

Yes Don, us here in Waverly will still play Lewis Co. As well as Wayne, Harpeth, and Hickman.

It may be way too early to be doing this but I think that Lewis County will own this region next year bc of the persistence of the great coaching staff led by Bobby Sharp and Kelly Spivey. good luck to everyone in the offseason.

Coach Sharp covets 10 win seasons like other coaches covet state championships, so he's not really looking to jeapordize that possibility by hunting down the Hillsboro's and the Riverdale's of the world.

 

As for the region, LC's only real competition will come from Fairview.

I would love to see Camden and Lewis continue their rivalry cause it's been alot of fun the last 4 years...good competition and great gates for both teams not too mention all the fun on the T. Maybe it will work out and both teams will have the same open date. I know we are playing Milan as one of our non-region games and of course Huntingdon is back in our region, but don't know about the other 3. If we can continue the Westview game also and have Lewis co....wow what a schedule How about we just forget the Houston co and Stewart co games so we have more open dates to pick from?.... first off, 926 you need to get your facts right. it was not a home and home against Westmoreland. it was a home and away. i was on the team and i remember the nearly 3 hour drive we had to the game. the reason i remember that one so well is bc it was my 1st start and i got player of the game. so just don't talk if you don't know what your talking about.

 

lions4ever I agree with everything you said. All of our games between each other have been really good hard fought battles and were excellent games to watch (except for my junior year when yall killed us in the 1st round, that one stunk). I wish the rivalry would go on. you know my favorite football memory actually happened playing yall when we upset yall my senior year and won the region championship ( I was that noseguard that led the team with 10 tackles that game but am still only remembered for the play where my buddy forced the qb to fumble and i could have recovered it and scored a td but before i got to the ball i tripped over my own feet-lol) I loved playin camden. yall talked alot of smack on the t but yall were always a class act on the field and after the game. yalls coach is a real good guy too.

Uhhh, under the regime of Coach Swenson he is 1-1, escaping a narrow victory last year. I expect we'ins vs. you'ins game 8 for the title. better not let your tail overload your mouth. this game means something now.
