i was impressed with sullivan centrals shooting against cocke co. they shot well in the first half. i think they will struggle though against a decent defense. cocke co. just couldnt get out and guard the three and couldnt keep up with them. sc dont have much at the post. sullivan central from what i saw lives by the three and might cost them some games this season because they will have some off games.

Central played hard tonight but did not shoot the ball as good as they can... they still had a chance to win, Central took a 1 or 2 point lead with about 6 min. left and the home cooking refs struck again... The reffing was bad all night long and Central did not have a chance to win a close game on that floor, but that is basketball and cant harp on that... Central will be a pretty good team this year and will suprise a lot of teams.. Carter had a good team but i think Central was the better team but on the road the better team does not always win.. I think with Big 9 refs Central wins by 10 or 15....

    • Siegel Middle School is looking for a Head Wrestling Coach. This will be the 3rd year that the school has had a program, but the Stars have had a middle school team for a while now. This is program is established and has a club team (Stars) feeding it with wrestlers.    Siegel High School is looking for an assistant coach. Again, this program is growing with talent every year. This past year we had 2 state placers.    If interested you can send an email to starstnwrestlingclub@gmail.com or freemand@rcschools.net

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
