Why would you leave in the third Quarter when it was 16-8, Oh wait you wasn't there you just saw the score on Coacht and assumed a blowout.

Gut Wrench Gary says he left in the third quarter because he was mad he wasted all that gas money and drove up to Cosby and saw Midway which is an ok team and Cosby which is the biggest Muffins Gut Wrench Gary has ever seen. Gut Wrench Gary was very sick at his stomach when he kept seeing turnover after turnover. Gut Wrench Gary says good teams don't choke under pressure. Gut Wrench Gary said this game was just too depressing to be at. Gut Wrench Gary will never come back to Cosby. Gut Wrench Gary says they always have been and will always be nothing but MUFFINS.

You can't tell me your not tired of that third person crap too. That was the first time I did it (being completely sarcastic by the way) and it made my head hurt. :thumb:

Honestly, when they started it, I thought it was incredibly annoying. But now it's grown on me, and I think it's pretty funny. Not to mention the people writing some of the stuff are hilarious. You can't tell me you didn't die laughing when you read Slick Rick's post about IBS. If you didn't think that was funny, your funny switch is broken

Old eagle says he's tired of everybody thinking it's so cute to type in the third person. Oldeagle also says nobody cares if you ever come back to Cosby or not. Noone in Cosby seen your Hummer or a sign of a Muffin so Oldeagle thinks you are 1 of 2 things a liar because you wasn't even at the game to see what Cosby was like or a big scared weenie afraid to let all the Eagle fans on here know who you where so you drove the pinto and didn't dare bring muffins. Cosby willl be VERY competitive for years to come regardless of what IDIOTS like you think. The Eagles return several atarters from both sides of the ball not to mention several soph's that played actually playing against kids their own age the next 2 years instead of having to hold their own with JR. an SR. heavy competition.

I agree with ya! I believe he is a 12 year old who sets at home and has a model of a hummer and has nothing better to do but bash someone his mom probably doesn't allow him to play sports! Go Eagles!!!!! Maybe since he jumps from team to team we have beaten one of them and he is mad!! The Eagles are awesome and so is the coaching staff Go Eagles!!!!

Even though we still have a game or two left this year, Alcoa's team should still be very talented next year.

The will be led by Brian Sommer and Randall Cobb (two of the best players in the state in the class of '08), and also Troy Hodge in the backfield. Their O-Line will return three starters, the D-Line loses all starters, but has some players who are getting significant playing time this year. At LB, they'll be lead by Troy Hodge and Connor Miles. Their secondary will be their strongest unit with D-1 prsopects Brian Sommer and Sam Thompson anchoring it. Kicker will be a big ?.

i believe upperman will be a good team next year.....who all is gordonsville returning i know the qb but who else is the rb/lb i think #47(?) graduating???

Gv will have 14 seniors, and 9 JRs next year. All have been in the mix this year. GV has had equal talent standing to let upper classmen play. Should be interesting this coming year. I feel the line will even be better this year. Making some good backs look great.

is number 47?? graduating for them...

Yeah he's graduating, but there's a couple that could step right in for him.

There not as bruising, but they'll be effective. Two even started some games later this year in a two back role with #47.

3 starters return on the line. 3 WR's return that saw a lot of playing time, and of course, the QB.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
