Coach Kent Smith reached another milestone tonight with a 65-41 win over The Baylor School. Tonight's win gave Coach Smith his 300th victory in his 11th season as the head coach at Bradley Central. His overall record is 300-68. He is now second in career wins at Bradley Central to William R. Walker's record of 328-82. Smith's grandfather, Tip Smith, also coached the Bears and ended his career at BCHS with a record of 240-44, including state championships in 1940 and 1942, 3rd place in 1939 and 2nd place in 1941.

Among Kent's accolades are 8 consecutive regular season district championships, 7 district tournament championships, including the last 5 in a row. 6 Region tournament championships, 4 trips to the state tournament, including two 2nd place finishes. A 50-game home court winning streak and 22 players signed to college scholarships!

Congratulations to Coach Kent Smith, assistants Jason Reuter and Chuck Clark and all of the players that have worn the black and gold at Bradley Central.

The Bear faithful look forward to many years to come of championship basketball at Bradley Central.
