I think tyler cassetty of JC runs the offence draws the defensive assignments and does more for his team in all asspects of the game than anyone in the district he's on a team undefeated in district play and last year a 500 team. His assists have won several games this year.

The MVP should come from the district champion.

Cassetty is a nice player, and he seems to be a good clean player, and a good teammate, but I don't think average players win MVP's. You switch him and Jacob Wright out, then Pickett Co. might even be behind Clay Co. in the district. Jacob is the heart and soul of the Bobcats. Cassetty is only avg. 10.0 a game according to the Herald-Citizen, Its true that Jackson is the best team in district 7A, but they just have a lot of good players, they don't have that player that sticks out. Wright is avg. 20.0 even according to the Tennessean. Heck for that matter, T.C. and Brent Logan are avg. 11.5, thats more than any player on Jackson co. With that said, I know its not all about scoring but thats alot of it. I know a few of the coachs won't vote for jacob because they think he is a dirty player.

the great allen iverson once said he would trade any indiv. award for a team award, so JC should be happy, District 7A champs, thats more than what PC got this year, so give it to Wright, like i said, its a 2 team district, so give it to someone from the two, and since you cant pick out one player from JC then give it to the one man team, who happens to be 2nd

Fanatic, just cause your son won it last year on the district champion doesn't mean it should happen this year. Its an individual award not a team award.

Well in my "humble" opinion it doesnt always go to the right person. Two years ago it went to Joseph Bailey and in my opinion Jacobs brother was more of an MVP to his team. He not only scored but played ALOT better defense and did the "intangibles" that an MVP type does. My son had a great year but he had some great players around him and you could have made an argument for a few of them for MVP. They can have all the individual awards anyone wants, the "teams" end result is what matters most to me. I wish all the young men out there good luck in the individual awards. There isn't any of the players from top to bottom that doesnt bust their butt to do their best for their team. I've never been one thats a big proponent of individual awards anyways. So good luck to all!

Wright is a great player and if his team was first in the district which they are not...he should win the mvp...but thats not how it is..the devils beat them both times...The mvp award should go to a JC player...or maybe the whole team...They all are great players, but two stick out in my mind...Cassetty and Hopkins...Cassetty might lead the team in scoring..but Hopkins a solid player always helps the team as so I've seen over the past couple of years...So im throwing Brandon"Bubba"Hopkins in!

if your going that route (scoring and team importance (birdwell from heritage wins it hands down) because he dosen't have the supporting cast of any player mentioned ,you can score a lot of points but your liabilities in other phases of the game keeps you from being mvp of team or district
