Here goes my feeble opinion. Westview has the easiest road and should be in the championship. I look for Milan to fold their tent under pressure once again, no real leader on the floor. Obion and Westview in the championship. I'm putting the jinx on Obion and picking them to win the district but I'm pulling for the girls from Westview. Its going to be an exciting tournament and any one of four teams could win it.

Oh!! it seems our friend NSHD is using is reverse phsycology he learned in Cooper's class on how to play the underdog and the under achieving role.

Westview is playing the best ball of late-- just a tad better than the others.

Could the reservations be made in a couple of weeks We'll see

With last evening's upset in the final district games the seedings have changed just

a bit on the 13AA side for the upcoming tournament.

1) Milan- gets the bye with a 10-2 mark and will also receive a regional berth.

2) Westview- last night's loss to Dyer Co. brings them to 9-3 and will now play Crockett County in opening round action.

3) Obion Central- finished 9-3 in district but head to head meetings with Westview drop the Lady Rebels to 3rd. Will now play Dyer County in the opening round.

4) Dyersburg - an even 6-6 district mark after the 59-46 win over Gibson Co. will turn around and play the Lady Pioneers again in round one action.

5) Gibson Co.-at 4-8 still a dangerous club with a win a couple of weeks ago vs.WV

6) Dyer Co. - 2-10 wins the tiebreaker vs. Crockett and will play OC in first round.

7) Crockett Co. -2-10 - dangerous with Cook and company - plays Westview 1st rd

 

1) Milan will play the Dyersburg/Gibson Co. winner in one semfinal

OC/DC winner will play the Westview/Crockett winner in the other semifinal..

 

Championships and consolation will be two nights later.

 

Should be a outstanding tournament in one of the most talented AA districts in the entire state

I'll stay with my prediction, and say The Lady Rebels win the district championship...

Why does Dyersburg still warrant such high opinions? Their big girl is foul prone, their other bigs can't hit lay ups and the guards are the weakest in the district..they can't break a press, throw the ball to the post nor defend...consequently a 6-6 district mark....until they beat a really good team, throw the roses to a team more deserving like Obion or the View....give me a break...

Due to the Westview BooBoo last night, its looking like a Milan-Obion championship game now. I'm still sticking with Obion to win the distict.

 

And I agree with Little Joe that Dyersburg is going to be a nonfactor.

I know where your coming from Little Joe...Even though Dburg has beaten Gibson Co. 2 times this year I really think Dyersburg is too over-rated and is going to have tough ways living up to the talk about them..Westview will win the district with Milan coming in second...Hopefully GC can pull off a win when it matters the most against Dburg and make a regional birth...GOOD LUCK TO ALL TEAMS!!
