This is the most off-topic thread I have read on this site in a while. Some idiot is talking about hair, two people were arguing about 2 totally different schools that don't even have anything to do with this freshman, and then other people are talking about Vandy and UT. The whole point of this topic was to congratulate this young freshman on her achievements this year. I have watched both West and Ferris this season. Both are well deserving of the award but Ferris ended up with it. Nobody on this thread can do anything at all about it. Complaining more is not going to change the results, so you might as well stop. Congratulations to Ferris on the awards. I agree with some that West should have won it. But as I said, nobody's opinion can change the results. The tourneys are now, thats all that matters. Individual awards mean nothing if thats all you ever achieve. We'll see how both girls do come tournament time. So get used to it...

This is a 15 year old girl you're talking about...act like someone and know that your comments will not be tolerated.

In no shape form or fashion was my comment derrogative toward her in anyway. Facts are facts. She is a great player, but is not the team. Add some people around that can take some burden off her and we will see her in the state tournament soon.

And Queen Bee your bias to a particular school and ............................

She deserved MVP. She is the BEST "PLAYER" in the district. Take her off Smith Co's team and they are dead last in the district and state probably. I don't care what anyone says there isn't a player ANYWHERE in this area A, AA, or AAA that is as good as she is. She is the BEST "PLAYER" in the Upper Cumberland and argueably the state! The only reason she didn't get MVP of 7AA was because her team stinks thats it! These other girls and the rest of us will be watching her play on tv in the NCAA finals one of these days and then the WNBA! So for all you people that go to school with the other players or your their mom and dad you need to get a life because she is BY FAR the best you have seen or will ever see play the game in this area at the center position, hands down! Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

Well the award has been given and im sure both of the girls deserved it. Kayci got the votes and thats how the dice fell...and i think its pretty disrespectful for people to say that she doesnt deserve some awards because of her height. Thats a foolish thing to say. She's an awesome athlete and will be one of the best to play in 7-AA, ever. Height should be the last thing people judge her for...i think she has already realized she is tall, people need to congratulate her on her accomplishments and make her feel like an actual human being instead of just "that tall girl." Good luck with your basketball career and life Kayci.

agreed!!! Good Post!!! Eveyone has an opinion like they have a butt crack. In most cases they need to keep them to theirself. I know this website is to brag and boast about your opinions, but lets keep from bashing the kids!!! They give their all on the court!!!

    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
    • I'm from Cloudland and we've never played a sectional game.  We need to win tomorrow night to avoid that bus ride.  Us and north greene can play with you guys so I'm expecting good games whoever the matchup is.
