Hurricanes had a good weekend, but looks like they lost their short stop. Tough break lady canes. Cherokee looked good too. Cherokee was playing for Championship vs Unicoi when Umpire got knocked out. West Firepower vs Cherokee pitching will be an interesting matchup. The two not meeting until late in the season should build suspense.

Good point.....my same thoughts for this meeting. But I would like to add that Cherokee's bats showed improvment this weekend...they outscored there opponents 38 to 1 in the NFS tournament. Though offense is still their weekness.....hopefully by the time they play west that will equal out. I am sure that meeting will be the game of the year for the IMAC......everyone one needs to come out on April 16 and support your team!!!!!!

Morristown West suffered a tough loss yesterday outside the IMAC to Halls. It was a very close game with two evenly matched teams, but one question for the West fans. What's the deal with your pitchers grunting? I found it to be very annoying!!!! If she threw hard I could understand a grunt or two, however Kandice Irwin the best pitcher in the area from Knox Central and throws low to mid 70's and does not grunt when she throws heat. Why????

      Yes in the regular season. But once Westview's young kids got the experience from the season, they only lost to Dyersburg by a field goal in the playoffs. Westview was young last year. They will be tough this year

      That is absolutely not the truth.  Few if any college coaches or school administrators want to be in the middle of legal proceedings if there is any way possible to avoid being caught in the middle.  With that being said I have two questions: 1.  Why would a coach remove any player from the team for using the F WORD?  Yes, I fully understand the player must be held accountable for her actions.  Maybe extra running and even a one game suspension but if every kid or coach that used improper language was kicked on the team or fired, they would have no players or coaches available to play the games. 2.  If there was truly another player or coach that witnessed this situation, and they agree with the player then by all means the coach should be held accountable for their actions.

      Assistant football staff still the same? Any replacement for Brian Beaubien? Who will be the DC? Will there be anything going on this spring with football? I go watch practice often.
