The new transfers from Florida are a good addition to the team. You'll only see one of them in spring action, for the other 2 are only 8th graders, but hard workers at that. Also rather fine atheletes.

As for the staff...Seems to be complete and loaded as well. New OC, and a new Offensive line coach, should make for an explosive offense.

Does anyone have an idea about what sets the offense will be running out of? I still believe your style should dictate or reflect the type of players you have, and I'm not implying instituting multiple sets, rather finding what works best with your crew and evolving from there. Our last few teams had a tendency to often times appear confused in some sets. To be a little more effective offensively, that confusion has to be gone. By the way, I'm not knocking the various styles we have used recently, more like the comprehension level of the players that were running the sets. It is vital that the kids "get it"! I think the right OC /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> can do wonders for these kids.

Hear! Hear! What if the coach don't know anything? /unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> I'm on ya, griz! You also have to make your kids KNOW what you coach! But I'm sure Lambo won't have any trouble getting his points across.

And sometimes his points come out All CROSS. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> So much for my crass attempt at humor! Bottom line: We feel strongly up here that our staff is developing into one of the best in East Tennessee. After seeking out some people and changing some responsibilities the stars are starting to align with our coaching staff. Keeping Burch in the fold should be considered another stroke of luck for the Tribe. All in all, its been a pretty productive off-season!

I think that oneida "together is a good team" and I am not on here talking to start any crap, but to me I think that Oneida should go back to the basics this spring and find out what they can do on offense and on defense, then when spring is over they should look back at there notes that they took on what they seen and find what worked and then start from there. Dont jump into anything big right now, just take it one step at a time, they are not going to be able to do anything flashy or anything of that sort against rockwood or teams of that caliber so boys just do what works and stay calm under pressure and just play football dont worry about the w's right now.

Kaz it's good to see you in midseason form in the spring /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> i think the tribe is headed in the right direction. they can't overlook anyone on the schedule they are still a young ballclub. as long as they pay atention to coaching and continue to work hard i think they'll be ok,but they all gotta pull together.

Seems I should be getting the "bug" pretty soon, as the boys are getting ready to strap it on over the next few weeks. Heard the crew is complete, good job Tony Lambo on getting all your apples and oranges. Now to see if that excellent staff can get the Tribe back to their winning ways. That history board could use some touch-up with district championships thrown back up there. No pressure! /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> Hope the vibe continues into next Fall when we all get to see how the deal has turned out. Still....this Spring should reveal some things.

    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
