QUOTE(plowboy2 @ May 17 2007 - 04:54 PM) 826461277I say you have the odds in your favor WaCo considering DB has been to this, one game from the state now,3 years in a row.I think Ritz has played his cards right this time.We will see.

We fans certainly hope Ritz played the right cards anyway! I, for one, am going to trust him and those players until the last out of their final game!

If you factor in prior year statistics then your million dollars would be a safe bet WaCo... but that is not a bet I would be willing to make myself... different team each year... I personally do all my statistical choosings from the current year records only... we need a few graduates to come back if we play to use past years...some of them might have to lose some weight and run a few laps to condition...

I think I will let this year stand by all by itself.

Now, come May 26th we can group this year with all the other years of the past and then make those kind of comparisons.

I would say however that the odds are favorable that 7 teams will go home from State without the Championship!

QUOTE(catsbackr @ May 17 2007 - 07:51 PM) 8264613641moreDBmom,

I'll look for you in Knoxville tomorrow.

My best friend's house sits right behind the SD field on adjoining land.... We could just sit in the upstairs of her garage...it has a nice window view up there with a good view of the ballfield... her hubby actually hunted from there this last fall because she saw more deer in their back yard while he was out hunting then he saw "out hunting" .... Heck with my hubby, and your wife...we could play cards and watch the game...that would just about be heaven on earth. I have a 10 year old son that would just love to run over to field for hotdogs and cokes and nachos for us!

Waco.......I wish you would surprise me just once and be supportive before the game. I'm used to reading your horse pooh after we've fought hard and lost......but to bet before the first pitch just lets me know that you're not a DB fan at all.....not really......not when it matters! I hope if any of the players read this before the game they ignore you and play with pride!!!!!!!! The pride a real DB fan has win or lose!

I am pretty sure the players ignore Waco. Heck, everyone else does. /wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />

I spoke w/ a few SD fans today, and this is the biggest game ever at the 'Casino.' Expect a record turnout.

Good luck to The Tribe.

ROLL TRIBE ROLL!!!

    • Congratulations to Huntingdon and Station Camp. Lots of good softball in Tennessee. Alcoa been media favorite last two seasons.
    • Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!
    • No doubt. ORC a good dude.
    • In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
