QUOTE(Bulldog Dad @ May 24 2007 - 11:14 AM) 826465981[/snapback]Brentwood might very well beat Bearden tonight, but I don't think it will be in a shootout. Bearden won state last year in a shootout and nobody has a better goalkeeper than Walker. The Dawgs will be extremely confident if it goes to a shootout. Should be a great game.

We're U there Wen night?

No. My soccer son tore his ACL at end of wrestling season (during practice) and is just now getting back on the pitch after surgery in Feb. He may be ready for D1 state championship and should be ready for regions end of June. His team has already qualified. This has been a tough season for him to watch because he probably would have been starting. We're planning to make it to the championship on Sat (but we're already looking fwd to next year).

I've had to rely on Coach T for score updates. Boy is that painful! But I'm grateful to the guys that report scores during the game. Go Dawgs!

I think I am going to go on Saturday. Once I heard that Farragut won last night, I got my pops to turn the car around and bring me home so I can go to soccer instead of going to Baltimore to watch a sport I care nothing about. So I might look for you Rigger.

Edit: Sorry I left you all hanging last night with the Farragut game. From what I heard from people there was that Farragut had alot of chances. Had some good shots that hit off the keeper then right to another Farragut player, but they hit the ball over the goal instead of into the wide open net. From what my contact said it happed about 6 times.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
