JPII 2007 version of football is alot like 2006. They got more holes in their defense than a picket fence. They gave up 350 rushing yards to Greenbrier. Their coach talks about the offensive line, but fails to mention anything about defense. Maybe he thinks he can outscore everybody. The clock has struck twelve for JPII. Send the polish over to Norwood, the Irish are going to need it.

The Trophy remains, now and forever, royal to the loyal.

Dont care who the better school is or which school has the better kids. In the end, we are all Catholic.

Who is gonna win, FRHS or JP2?

FRHS thrashed a not good Hillwood team and JP2 somehow lost to Greenbrier.

Thoughts?

The fact that JPII lost to Greenbriar having not seen JPII this year, tells me they may be one dimensional, even more so than last year when Father Ryan beat JPII/Golden Tate to everyone's surprise. That is with the exception of Father Ryan. Having watched Father Ryan friday night, they have a number of ways to beat a good defensive team, let alone a bad one. And their defense was much better than expected. While it is unlikely that you stop little Tate, he will not outscore the Father Ryan offense. Last year's game was an exceptional game that few will ever forget. Win or lose. My bet is this will be a forgetable game for JPII. Father Ryan by 2 TD's and maybe more.

Well your right Father Ryan students are catholic but last time i checked pope had around a 40% catholic rate in their school. maybe because the only parochial students they get are st. joseph's and they recruit out of all the Sumner county public schools but thats just a thought. anyways if they couldn't beat ryan last yr with tate and a decent o-line they won't this yr. only way it stays close is if ryan shoots themselves in the foot with turnovers and penalties.
