I cant think of a better way to kick off a season. I cant wait. Although the announcers voice at Paul Ward does give me nightmares.

The 2003 State Semifinals game at Paul Ward Stadium between these two was without question one of the greatest games I have ever seen. The 2004 State Semifinal game at Milan was great as well with that game having been played with winds gusting up to what felt like 40mph. Those two games may have been Chris Donald's biggest two performances as a Huntingdon Mustang.

Milan: 21

Huntingdon: 20

Both teams will be around deep into the month of November!!!!!!

You think the guy at Huntingdon is bad?? You should hear the clowns at McNairy Central & Hardin Co.

Four quarters of "bobcat o" and "bobcat d" in Selmer and Four quarters of "hey, mr official" in Savannah would drive anyone crazy!!!

The guy at Huntingdon sounds like he is 106 yrs old!

yeap this gonna be a heck of a way to open the season

great game to see

Watch out for the twelth man...He may be the decisive factor in this game again

In all seriousness..I expect The Dawgs to come on top...Final 14-0...as this being the first game of the season both teams will come out rusty but will still be a huge game and huge atmosphere...Good Luck to both teams!!!!

    • Eagleville also loses Brown the catcher, Lamb CF, Mclemore RF (Heck of an athlete) and Drew the 1st baseman. They will be young.
    • Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!
    • Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
    • Hopefully you’re not signing off for good. There are a lot of Oak Ridge fans that appreciate your comments.
    • Florida tried urban/rural split two years ago. 4 urban classes, 4 rural classes. Didn’t work. Next year they will have 7 regular classes, 1 urban class for small schools only.
