Collinwood travelled to DCA yesterday and scrimmaged the Wildcats. It ended in a 3-3 tie. I didnt go but I talked a player today and he said DCA had a big, strong, player in #21. He said he reminded him of Marco Dailey. He said they had a bunch of tall guys. Of course my source is only 5'8".

Is everybody asleep in Donelson. Week 0 is only 8 days away. Where are you?

Looking forward to welcoming you to Donelson Christian on August 24!

Best route from Westmoreland is

I-40W to Exit 221 Old Hickory Blvd./TN 45 toward the Hermitage.

Turn right onto Old Hickory Blvd. and go about 2 miles.

Turn left onto Lebanon Road and go about 2 miles, crossing Stones River bridge.

Turn right onto Danyacrest.

School and field are at the end of the road.

We'll throw a burger on the grill for you and share a great football game with two great schools. Have a safe trip.

I appreciate the directions. I'm really looking forward to the game. I love to eat also, so I'll be looking forward to the hamburger. I hope our Eagles can at least make a game out of it. We are so young and inexperienced not to mention our players are on the small side. We had a problem with players quitting us this year. But maybe next year you can come to Westmoreland and see a pretty good team with some older more experienced players.

the score did not reflect how the teams matched up... and i do not know if that was the true final score ... i cant speak for collinwood and how they played, but dca definetly lost focus and played sloppy in the last segment of the scrimmage but as for the first half i thought it seemed to be mainly controlled by dca... i am open for criticism if anyone would disagree. i must add that collinwood seemed to have a pretty good team though... so i want to be sure nobody thinks i am putting them down in anyway... i wish the trojans good luck in 1A this season.

The score between the two VARSITY teams was 3-1. If you count the JV the sore was 3-3. But the best of luck to the Spartans in 1a.

Either way we had a good practice session with the Cats. From what Ive heard we held our own, even without some key players. So that tells me we are improving as the season nears. Good Luck to the Bearcats in 2A.

    • There's going to be more fallout from this.  It's not over.   A criminal investigation is also underway.  Additional school counselors have been fired.   As far as coach flip flops is concerned,  a lot of people knew he was flirting with disaster. He was recruiting failed athletes from other schools. Grades and discipline issues that got otherwise good athletes kicked off other area teams were playing at CHS. Grades, addresses or transfer rules be dam ed. It was just a matter of time.  It's a culture issue at the school. I've heard an assistant coach and teacher for another sports team was let go for not breaking up a fight on campus between 2 girls.  Supposedly he's only there because of coach flip flops, they're close.  That guy's kid, who's a great athlete in the school,  will probably transfer out to.  There's just so many layers to this .   I'm not sure the director of all Anderson county schools doesn't get bit by this somehow. He's the one who wanted, pushed for the principal at Clinton in the first place.  He initially denied anything had been uncovered when a local station broke the story.  He had to back track his statements.   It's ugly in Clinton right now folks.   Add in the fact that there's such a huge rivalry with ACHS across the river,  it makes it bitter for clinton fans if they say anything.  Especially given the dominance that ACHS has had over Clinton for 20+ years in  almost everything.
    • Congratulations to y'all. I have been texting some Huntingdon friends. What a great accomplishment. Proud of y'all. Keep battling.
    • I remember it happening, but I don't remember the details. I usually have headphones on so I don't hear the PA anyway. But it seems like a guy I know was doing it at one point, but he either didn't start it or didn't finish. I don't remember which.
    • Kreuziger from Huntingdon has been fantastic on the mound!  I think if the Fillies can score a couple of runs tomorrow it may be all they need to capture their first ever state championship in Softball.  Great day to be a Huntingdon fan!  Baseball team has won 17 in a row and plays for State Championship tomorrow also!
    • More like to much bad publicity so we have to do something. Happens all the time
