i saw the catholic and maryville game and catholic seems to be missing some people in key spots from last year the girls also seem to be lacking teamwork and a real goal scorer which was not a problem last year i have no clue who is hurt but that can't help them either but Leader will have them ready to go come tournament time they still ahve alot of talent on that team

I haven't seen Catholic, but I know that they still have Gretchen Sutch who, unless she's really regressed, is about as good a goal scorer as you're going to run across.

I have not seen either team. Of course you know Martha Hall is NOT coming back from Florida. I have heard ,through some of my players on Webb, that Catholic is nursing some injuries. That is all I know about Catholic. If anyone else knows more then please reply. Yes, that score did surprise me also.

Catholic has two key players out with injuries and one that just returned. Outside of that they are a pretty young team that will get better as the season moves on.

Wow, this score surprised me. Can you offer up any details on this game?

Harpeth Hall's defense was very well organized all night long. Baylor possessed the ball far more than Harpeth but were unable to finish the many opportunities that they had. I think Harpeth had only 2 shots (unofficial) but they capitalized on their scoring opportunities while Baylor did not.

Thanks... sounds like it was a good game.

    • What’s sad Barney is the cards in the deck are stacked against them.  With the success the MAVS are having just down I-75, any talented players are heading that way. I always said what the Price twins did there was second to none, making the playoffs and winning a playoff game is the ceiling there. On a great year, maybe a q-final appearance but that is a big stretch.  Finding a coach there is very tough. I feel for the new coach, he’s in a very bad situation and I’m not sure he even realizes it. I understand he wants to be positive and have hope, but I don’t see them scratching a win. Maybe he will prove me wrong.
    • I agree, 2A is the only class in thet state where the west side of the bracket is tougher, not taking anything away from Marion county at all but they should run that side for years to come
    • Should be a big week in Dayton coming up with the 100th anniversary of the Scopes Monkey Trial.
    • AE has a lot of new transfers and a very good incoming freshman class to mess with the current players.  That's why I'm saying don't sleep on AE.  Many are thinking they can't get back to their winning ways but I think this 2025 team will open a lot of eyes and let the state know, AE won't be an easy win anymore.
