Wow i'm really sceptical about how much Faith_ you have in the Trojans.

Hodge fumbled 3 times. Mckinney dropped the pass at the end. West started 1-3 in '03, the year that they lost in the state championship game. West looked pretty good for almost three quarters. The 4 turnovers in the 4th and the kicking game really killed them. Maybe they got too relaxed with the lead, who knows. Jeff did not quit like the would have in the past. They really should a lot of heart by playing until the end.

what does it mean to Jeff Co ? I figure Coach Woods is looking at this game as a

scrimmage where he could make more changes in his personnel for Conference play.

Where are you from man??? Are you a Yankee transplant or something? This game has never been considered a scrimmage. What it gives JC is a huge shot in the arm and confidence that they really needed. This is a momentum builder for the rest of the season.

Coaches look to put more imphasis on confrence games obviously, but no coach worth his salt takes losing lightly.

 

I would say the entire coaching staff is upset after losing a big lead like that in the 2nd half.

2004, Jeff County was kept out of the playoffs because they had fewer non confrence wins than the teams ahead of them. Heck yes it matters more than bragging rights.

If that was the case, I don't think Coach Woods would have walked off the field with his head hanging last night, not even going out to midfield to shake the Jeff County coach's hand. The truth of the matter is, nobody on either the JC or MW sideline wants to lose to the other, region game or not.
