Unless something happens, this team will be hard to beat in Class A Girls Basketball.

There are many great individual Freshman players throughout the state, but give me these three any day to bring home Perry County's First Girls State Championship!

Heather Burse from Columbia Academy is another freshman to watch .

Thank you for that one. These girls along with Tisha Kirby and Brandi West won the State Tournament in Springfield last year as 8th graders and so far this year are undefeated!! McFadden is a great post player. She can rebound and knows how to draw a foul. Haley is an all around player, she can hit the 3 with ease and she's all over the floor. Yates plays point guard, she is a leader and works well under pressure. Kirby is a wonderful defensive player. And West can handle the ball really well as well as shoot the 3 pointer. This team will definately go places if they all stay with it.
