I don't want to distact from all the loverly stats that you guys are throwing around, but I was reading the OR rag online today and it mentioned that Coach Kries' son was ill and I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the subject. Maybe he could use some prayers. Thanks.

His son is very ill. He is a very special boy to Coach K. (most kids are but his own is too close to Coaches' heart). I think the world of the boy myself. Coach has been spending a lot of time with this young man showing, guess what, a father's love. The son is part of the Coalfield family, our hearts and prayers go out to him and wish him the best.

Wartburg prayers also go out for Coach K's son.

Now about that Scott County folks are so dominant, maybe they should play each other for the "ultimate dream world championship" Oh wait, they can't; they' scared. Give me a break. Oneida is 0-2, Scott is 2-0 over a couple of teams that aren't very good right now. When both of those teams get through their region schedule, perhaps an intelligent exchange can occur about this and that.

Thanks, we appreciate thinking of this young man. He is a very special guy.

Intelligent exchanges between Oneida and Scott will be difficult.

OHS ROLES BIG IN THE COALFIELD GAME THATS A GURANTEE!!!!!

Coalfield

Wartburg

Oakdale

Sunbright

could all combine into 1 team and still couldnet beat scott high!

You wana talk region play ill talk some i bet oneida dosent lose another game! They might even take home a region championship!

Do they even teach English in the schools in Scott County, as much as I hate to agree with CY, he was right!!!

Coalfield by themselves could probably beat Scott High, add the rest of the county and it would not be close. I am not sure of Oneida's schedule, but seems to me that an 8-0 run is NOT LIKELY. So quit foaming at the mouth, wake up out of your dream world and get back to reality.

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
