first off...he benches alot more than that

secondly, hes not gonna need to bench press 310 pounds to get to the end zone....

You would think for almost 20 grand a year we would get better creative writing from the EHS/MBA students on this board. When this game was scheduled, no one gave EHS a chance. On paper MBA should take this game without any problem. MBA does have experience, numbers and for lack of a better word more "star" players on their side. EHS has taken a couple of very talented players and used a very talented coaching staff to build a team around them. EHS seems to get everything and a little more out of its players. For EHS to win, they will have to play almost perfect defense, execute almost every play perfectly, and avoid penalties and injuries. If EHS can stay in the game untill the 4th quarter, they stand a very good chance to win.

EHSParent,

I've enjoyed your posts on this thread. Speaking as an MBA alumnus, are we in agreement that with a few exceptions, none of the posts on this topic have really covered anybody in glory?

Good luck Friday. I'd love to be there.

Thank you for the comment. Yep, both schools looking a little tacky on this thread. If the coaches need anythign extra to motivate these kids-and they don't- they can just pcik out a few choice, misguided comments here.

One thing that amazes me is that . . . almost no one is talking about the two studs Vinsang and Waddey for MBA. Thy cna be a huge factor in this game.

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
