Volleyball state rankings?

Brentwood is good, and the only team I have seen compete with them thus far on a consistent basis is Ooltewah. Centennial beat them once but then got beat down the second time they met. Being that I am a manager for the team, yes, thank you, I have been to most of their games and have even seen them compete against some of the top teams in Alabama. They are legit. Watch out.

Oh, and our JV team could probably compete in most districts besides ours, definetely in middle Tennessee.

Are you talking about Brentwood, Ooltewah, or Centennial?

I believe the only time Ooltewah and Bwood met so far this year, was during a couple of playdays. Could be an interesting final match but there is still a lot of games to be played. Could there be a sub state or sectional or whatever you call it "rematch" from last year at Ooltewah again this year??

Shouldn't this kid being doing his/her homework instead of proclaiming his/her teams greatness. I am sure the coach would be proud that their water and towel boy/girl is talking smack and giving other teams incentive.

I'm sorry, I must have missed the memo about coacht being strictly for adults.

Kylem is right, Brentwood is strong, but they're not invincible.

I am not saying they should be ranked in the top 20 but Boyd-Buchanan is possibly the best A/AA team in Chattanooga this year. They won their district and have a record of 32-12 with wins over East Ridge and Red Bank in that. I guess we will see next week at region if they can beat East Ridge again. They have to get past Notre Dame first though.

I don't think that is too much of a stretch but as you say it will matter most when they play next week. If I'm not mistaken, if BB finishes 2nd in the Region you would more than likely have to go play at Greenbrier and that would not be an easy task. I'd recommend trying to stay at home for the Sectional match. Good luck and I personally know several of the girls on the team and they definitely have the talent to advance.

I don't see where our man of mystery said that it was for adults only. Maybe you should worry about that floor burn instead of trying to rearrange someone's post into something else.

So true! Centennial handed them a loss earlier this season. Of course it must have been an off day according to Brentwood. whatever. They are beatable and I encourage teams to go after them more than any other. Aslo these rankings are pretty off. Centennial should be higher than most of these teams. Good luck all.

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
