I'd take Sterling, but from what I've heard about Sensbaugh, he's gonna be recruited by just about every Top 25 college in the country. But I'll take someone with more experience anyday

I don't know anything about Sterling.Chris has got nearly four years before he can even think about playing a college football game. How much water will run under the bridge in that amount of time.I just hope DB makes the playoffs this year and Chris can take the beating from the top teams and hold onto the ball.Forget the hype of playing against bad teams right now. Chris is the best looking half back on the DB team.If the line and coaches don't do their part against the good teams , it won't matter who is back there. The bottom line is{just win baby},and it takes 11 on the field.

From a William Blount fan perspective, having only seen these guys in games against the Govs, here's my ranking of running backs in 5A in our area:

1. Sterling (Farragut) ... in a category by himself, noone else comes close.

2. Darren Garner (William Blount) ... maybe most underated, but has incredible speed, vision, and great receiver out of backfield

3. Marshall (Ooltewah) ... great open field runner and cutter, not near as strong as Sterling ... doesn't hit the hole as well as Garner does.

4. Stephenson (OR) ... had a sub-par game against WB ... his numbers show he's obviously a good back

Can't really comment on the Sensebaugh kid cause I don't remember him carrying it much against WB. Sounds like he might be the next big deal though! And havn't got a chance to see the McMinn County rb this year, but if he's the same one they had last year, he's a stud and might belong in that top 4 list as well.

I would take Andre, but Chris is still very young and inexperienced at the varsity level. He will be better in the next couple of years. I saw Farragut play West. Farragut was very one-dimensional against West with Andre getting most of the carries and they had trouble stopping him. DB could've beaten Elizabethton and Sevier handily without Chris Sensabaugh.

This thread makes no sense. Sensabaugh has taken snaps in 3 games, and only a significant amount of snaps in 2 games. Chris is in the 9th grade and has a long way to go. Sterling is a more experienced and older running back. Both are talented, but you can't compare these 2 based on the limited snaps Chris has gotten lately. WB fan, Chris took no snaps in that DB vs. WB game. I wish he did though, because he has really sparked the DB offense.

Chris should be a great athlete but has a long way to go.

He took his shoulder pads off in the Boone 9th grade game and sat out most of the third quarter. He then put them back in and ran the ball twice but started limping after getting stuffed pretty good.

He will be a great player but needs to toughen up.

This post may win you the Mo-Ron of the year award!

Chris Sensabaugh is just a freshman so of course he has a long way to go to get better. The bad news for the competition is that he is already playing like a senior. If you don't think he is tough enough at this point go ask the entire Sevier County defense what they think. He carried the ball 24 times and midway thru the 4th. qtr. was still running as hard as he did when he came into the game. 194yrds. and 4 touchdowns playing against a senior defense. I would hate to see it if he gets any tougher. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
    • It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.
    • That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.
    • Trez's last scandal has died down, so I guess this is there opportunity to be the best 4A team playing in 2A a la Sissy MTN.  At least they won't be in a Z-district with 1a teams in the regular season.
    • Facts...until someone takes down the Rebels they should be the favorite. Got loads of young guys salivating at the opportunity to prove themselves and get a 3peat! Blazer how is Region 1 looking this year?
