Both have Legendary coaching families, Both have great town support. They are two of only a handfull of teams in 1A that have a gold football. South Pitt is a great team, and I don't want you to think i am disrespecting your pirates, at some point i gotta buy a t-shirt... But the fact of the matter is that it isn't like "all that region 4 needs is for watertown to beat South Pitt", this is "all that region 4 needs is for the seven time state champions to beat South Pitt" It would be a game that South Pitt would be the easy favorite and probably has more talent that TC, but nobody and i mean nobody would be jumping off a cliff if Trousdale County won the game. It would be a suprise is TC won, but by no means is region 4 hoping for a Major "app. State over Michigan" upset.

 

As far as lookout valley you are correct. If Watertown wins and the Waterwings are third then Lookout Valley has a very good shot. Watertowns last playoff win was almost two decades ago, but they have displayed a great Defense at times and if their Defense shows up to Lookout Valley then it would be interesting to see how Chase handled it. As far as if FCS goes to lookout valley.... i just don't see it happening. FCS has just as much speed as South Pitt and I don't see any reason to believe that Lookout Valley would handle it any better than they did South Pitt's speed.

 

On to the other match-ups, I don't see grace baptist, Whitwell, Silverdale... whoever staying within 3 touchdowns of Gordonsville or whoever ends up in second.

Trust me...TC is not the team we would have picked to start playoffs but it is what it is. If it happens that you come down as a Pirate fan at some point I'll get you a Pirate shirt

I thought it was ` AA title and 5 A titles. The 93 title wouldn't have happened if SP had ever heard of a field goal unit. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> SP is 2 and 2 in the playoffs . . . the semi-finals. I think all those TC teams were better than this one. But I do put a lot of stock in in tradition and TC has that and will bring it at the Pirates should treat it and all playoff games like they are playing the best team in the state and its for the title because it is in reality.

I didnt ask for a SP shirt for nothing. I have all the respect in the world for SP. Its been earned, over and over. If I knew he was a Pirate fan I would have just shot him a smiley face. If you want a Tiger shirt. I will take the one off my back if I cant find you one.

Back to Monterey and Watertown. All I can say is....its gonna be a battle. I would say its one of the biggest games in Monterey football history. With a win they have a chance to host a playoff game and get a playoff win for the first time ever...and with a lose they are out. But Watertown is not gonna go quietly into the night...even though I will have to take Monterey by 1 this Friday night in the best game of the season for both teams. Monterey 8 Watertwon 7. Heady rolls the dice late and goes for the win.

      I havent kept up with Keeton since he went to Oakland, so hearing he is in a BOE role now, that may trump him coming back.  Rennard on the other hand. That dude is a Man Builder! And he was cut loose this spring from Scotts Hill. Heard him in a interview a few month back and he inspired me. He needs to be back home in the Purple & Gold, regardless of if he is HC or not or even if he doesnt coach at all, his presences will improve the environment. But Again, I have no clue if he would even be interested.

      Shoulders from Macon co.  A creasy protege. Has the best coached team in the area as of late. Not much shot to win a state title at Macon but could very well be a contender with the talent coming up through the peewee and junior high ranks in TC I hear. He my dark horse candidate. trousdale co fans could also brag to their neighbors that they talked their best coach into coming to TC on a year of such high expectations at Macon co. My dark horse candidate

      The baseball field is the baseball field. There are no clear favorites. It is a central location so that is why it is the site. This gets talked about every year and it is always the same answer.
