Franklin as the best defense in 5a but one of the worst offenses in 5a to.

Overton put up a battle against hillsboro and franklin tied.

 

A close game but franklin by atleast 2 td's cause of their BIG D.

Franklin defense will have to bring it to stop a very tuff rushing attack by Overton

they can flat run the ball. Overtons defense has been good at times but most of the time just average.

If Franklin's offense can take advantage of Overtons defense this will be a great game!

I think Franklin takes care of buisness. IMO the best first round match up is Antioch vs DC

Should be a good game. Overton as a team will rush for 200+ yards on Franklin. However in a very close game that could go either way I am picking Franklin by 7 with a ton of uncertainty.

They will pound it out, and pound it out, oh and a little pounding it out to.

They dont have to attempt a pass unless they are down late.

Big offensive line, and very quick running backs.

Deceptive offense that will make you guess alot.

while i havent seen overton play, i think franklin will pull this out in a dog fight. 3 weeks ago there is no way i would have been predicting us to win in the first round but in the last three games the team has really come together and playing excellent football.

I predict Overton Bobcats to win this game 21-10. Daniel White and CJ Jackson will have to play their best. I think they know what's on the line. Franklin defense will be challenged this Friday Night; moreover, it should be a good game.

IMO, any school that cannot win more that 50% of their games should not be allowed in the playoffs. This is nothing more than a money game for the TSSAA.

If that was the case then coaches would want to play Red Boiling Springs every week. I assure you that Overton is better than some teams with a .500 record who play a softer schedule. This time of year playoff teams are all 0-0. Its a whole new season.

It is a new season, just like any playoff with any other sport. Records are meaningless. And, teams are only as good as their last game. The best predictor of who wins this game is which team at this point of the season is playing well. Both of these teams are totally different from when they started the season.

 

This will be a great game with Overton's offense and Franklin's defense. The key to the game though will be who wins the battle between Franklin's offense and Overton's defense.
