I believe that Oneida has the best defense in region 2a. However, the dogs will be able to score easier during this meeting because the Indians defense will have to play so much. Without their QB, Oneida's offense will be one dimensional, and Hampton can definitely stop a running game.

Hampton-28

Oneida-0

Yea Torrey Slaven is out, but you are overlooking Tyler Blevins . Tyler played in the spring scrimages and done a great job. He was in the running for the starting position this year. If I know Tyler , He will be ready and waiting Hamptons (D) . Oneida will not be One dimensional , wait and see . Oneida has been waiting for this game since our last meeting . Anyone picking Hampton in a land slide is going to be so wrong --------(AGAIN)-------!!!!! One of these teams will win by no more than 14 points . Wait and see.

Well whitch one is the better QB.You make it sound as if it don't make any difference. I think it would hurt us pretty badly to lose our QB or for that matter ,any of the starters, on offense or defense.. I think we were missing one starter last week,he should be back this week.

Unless its some kind of crazy game ,For either one of us to advance much farther ,14 won't get it. We could get by Midway but that would be all she wrote.

Both teams are playing well right now but I'm taking Hampton in a close one

Hampton 21 Oneida 17. I think both of these teams will be playing in 2A football the next time

they realign. These are two of the bigger 1A schools around.

Hampton is the largest 1A in the state. The following # was reported to the T$$AA last year

Hampton 443

Oneida 424

Trousdale 414

Cosby 411

Its a whole lot easier to be the biggest 1a as to be the smallest 2a, but really its the same Hampton that Cloudland beat 10 straight times.

    • Wanted to see if all of you would lift up Kyle James family in prayer. Kyle was one of the best wrestlers to ever come out of Soddy Daisy and as some of you know he lost his house a few weeks ago and now his family and friends mourns his passing. Not sure if any of you were around in early 2000’s when Kyle was wrestling at Soddy, but he was a 3 time state champ and a Fargo AA along with going to Colorado to train to make the Olympic team. That goal was never reached due to medical issues, but he was an amazing wrestler and his family is as good as gold. If you were around at that time and have any pictures of Kyle, please go onto Alexy Winesburgh FB page and post. Thanks, Doug Benton
    • My opinion the 8 teams will be-  Greenback, Wartburg, Gordonsville, Jo Byrns, Eagleville, Bruceton, Dresden, and South Fulton. Gordonsviile is probably the favorite but I wont say it will be an easy road. With the right draw any of the 8 could win it.
    • I understand Gibson Co. will be announced tomorrow with a familiar name. Not sure about So. Gibson.
    • A huge addition to the staff today! Former Hardin Valley legend and Richmond College running back Aaron Dykes was announced as the running backs coach. Rushed for over 3,000 yards at HVA, with 35 total touchdowns. I loved watching in Hardin Valley. I can’t believe he’s at Bearden now. I know he was trying to get a HVA job, I don’t know what happened there and how he ended up at Bearden, but I'm glad he’s here and believe he will be teaching art class as well! What a good get for the staff!!
    • Thoughts? Gordonsville won it last year with a sophomore pitcher and returned almost everybody. Can anyone beat them?
