That's the twenty dollar question. I normally hear rumors, but this one has been pretty quiet.

They have excelled at keeping a lid on that situation since he arrived at Eagleville to teach math. Its like its top secret information lol! /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Looking for some info on Eagleville. We are looking to move back to Tennessee (Nashville area) by next year and I have two sons that are outstanding Football players. My oldest (12) is a QB. on the 8th grade team here in Michigan. Our school is the size of one of your Bigger 2A schools. I want to live in a small Tennessee town. Any thoughts on Eagleville? Forrest? Any others? Info would be appreciated.

Not recruiting or anything but I can give you information on Forrest. Great school and athletic program. 06' Baseball state runner-up, 06' Womans B-ball state champs, 07' Band state champs, football has made it to the playoffs 2 out of last 3 years. Missed out this season after going 7-3. New Football stadium called "The Rock" opened this season. New Baseball facilities opened last season. New B-ball gym floor opened this season. We seriously might move up to 2A in the 09'-2010 school year. . . . . and on Eagleville. Every year we think there going to turn it around and compete but they never do. Maybe Flatt would be what they need to finally get A LITTLE MOTIVATION! I'd love to see the Eagleville-Forrest rivalry pick up again. : )

Eagleville is a great place to live. Espescially the Eagleville - Rockvale area. There you you are about 15 miles from Murfreesboro and have all the advantages of a larger town. You also have the advantage of chosing Eagleville or Riverdale as your High School. A new middle school is being bult in the Rockvale area and will open in 2008. They will have a football program at the Jr. High level. Eagleville also has a football program at the Jr. High level. Rockvale will be a much larger school than Eagleville. My son played 4 years at Eagleville and attended the school since the 1st grade. He loved it, no school is perfect but there are a lot of advantages to a k-12 school and they do a good job of supporting there sports. Coach Scharsh who resigned did a great job building the football program from scratch. He will be missed and I wish him well. His positive influence and role modeling to my son was great and I appreciate it very much. I'm sure Eagleville will find a good coach for our situation.

If you would like to be a little closer to the Murfreesboro area...which Eagleville is? What about the other side of Murfreesboro towards Woodbury. I have a friend that coaches there and would welcome some good talent. He works very hard and is commited to his program. He is also a pretty good guy! May be worth checking out?

Good to see you, you should post more!

To the poster moving, chosing between the two is pretty much a win win situation as they are both great communities. I live in Murfreesboro and my son who is not school age lives in the Eagleville school district with his mother. The schools in Eagleville are excellent and I would much rather have him go there then a school here. The Eagleville program is fairly new, and like GoForTheGoal said, coach Scharsh has done a great job building a program their. If they do get Carlton Flatt, and since you have lived in this area you probably know the name, but he is a highly thought of coach. Kind of like "Ed Henry" in remember the Titans lol.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
