I love how you can dog on Cory Eicholtz that he is cocky (which he is not) when you have Andre Sterling and what is up with you FHS fans last time i checked you cant only count on one player ... o wait that is right you guys do only have one playmaker sorry

Yea ok.... How about you ask anyone on your offensive line how they feel about DE Jeff Jameson beating them on every snap last game.... Also I want to see yall even try to keep the ball away from ZAllen on both sides of the ball.

its too bad that this board has turned into nothing but trash talking from each schools respected student sections.

this game is going to be outstanding, and i look forward to making it to my first ever Bearden Farragut game. To my understanding that English kid will be playing, but he will be limited. That is a blow for the Dogs. He is a fine athlete, luckily they have other athletes to pick up slack. Is the game at bearden? also i hear farraguts "admiral navy" has something special planned. Good luck to both squads, hope its injury free.

Bearden is going to get it done this week. Everybody is talking about Bearden stopping Sterling, and I agree that is quite a task. But I don't hear anybody talking about how Farragut is going to stop Bearden, Bearden has many weapons and they are playing better than they have played all year. Farragut has got there hands full.

Bearden in a close one, 28-21.

all bearden does is play action, and throw it deep. that all they did against farragut last game. the only reason last game was close is because Andrew Martland had his worst game. He is MUCH improved now. Farragut's defense is playing its best ball at the right time. Farragut has also had several others step up and become playmakers since the bearden game. Lee Van Dyne WR/RB, Cody Harvey WR, Zack Allen (Mr. Everything) obviously, Kent Rienhart DT, Lawton Johnson WR, Austin Bolen FB/LB. i could go on. Farragut is clicking on all cylinders right now. i also think despite coming in with 8 straight losses, that bearden is the cockier team right now because they beat two big name teams who gave up in the first quarter. Farragut has been humble all year since the McMinn game. Look for a BIG time performance from the Admirals.

If this is your first one, your in for a treat. Ive been to the last six and this is the best matchup thus far. Hope to see farragut in a close one.

I don't think that this one will be as close as the last ones have. I go to bearden, and the team has been very calm and focused this week. The problem with the first game this year was that we peaked too early. This week look for us to hit the field hard and dominate Farragut. Stopping Sterling is not even possible, so bearden will just contain him as much as possible. The only problem with Farragut is that they are a one man team, and If Sterling were to go down with an injury or get kicked out for running his mouth (again) it would be over. Bearden is very multi-dimentional and can attack from all angles. For those who are talking about Madison English being out, he played the entire game last week, and is almost completely recovered from his knee injury. He was slowed in the Ooltewah game because he was sick. Look for him and ocho-cinco to have huge games, and if logan maynard can catch a pass we will roll. I wish that coach taylor would put logan on the pine pony and let matt williamson play. I think that bearden will reverse history and win this one 35-24.

This was a fair assessment of farraguts offense up to about week #8. The offense still depends on #31, but he is their homerun threat, not the only threat. #10 has matured as a qb and the coaches seem to have some type of offensive strategy other than just feed the ball to #31. Are you forgetting about farragus defense? farragut SHOULD win this one for one reason...they are the better TEAM. Bearden is gonna throw ALOT because they will not be able to run. Farragut will do what they always do run, bootleg run, and play action pass every now and then. whoever makes the other team one dimensional will win this...so there i said it...I don't know who wins(contradicting myself /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> , I'm just hoping its the Ads.

    • Nope, they knew lol. He was just one tough hombre. Played right up to near the end of the Powell game like that and we almost won. I think they beat us, 21-17. Was a valiant effort on his part though.
    • No, that was in 2010. We played them in the quarterfinals in ‘11 the year I’m talking about, but we got hammered 35-14. 2010 was a fun year though. Played Maryville in the semis and gave them a really tough game for the majority of that game, but their depth eventually wore OR down, 38-21. Bradley had a few awesome runs in that game. He was a stud. Nothing fancy, but like I said, a mini Tebow. Would keep that read option up the middle and pound it in there.
    • Gibson County will be good next year as well. The five girls that didn't start last year are all solid and we have Micah Hart's sister coming up this year. We  will be very competitive especially late in the year. May lose some this summer getting girls reps and trying to figure things out but we are going to be good.
    • Dyersburg will be really good for a while. Their JV is loaded as well. South Gibson ought to be much better with four really good players coming up from an undefeated  Jr. High Team. Also will have 3 players back from knee injuries last year. They will be a handful especially late. Dyersburg District right there with the Upperman District with quality teams.
    • Numbers are down everywhere in HS sports. Bradford with a great tradition for sure. Never know with every school about these numbers.
