Bearden vs Smyrna

No, we would not have played some disrespectful song after the game cause we have a little something called CLASS! and again, can you TELL me some of the plays Smyrna got screwed on? Not just tell me there were some... And it did mean something to us, because for those boys to put in years of work and then have it culminate to this is not fair in any respect.

So our boys put nothing in????/You are so full of sugar..............GO home and cry and try to fight a fan.

Is it me or did Smyrna have 30 students at the game? It's sad when we have students lining up at the gates 2 hours before game time with no Smyrna fans there and when a team 2 1/2 hours away prob. triples ur student turnout. Does the student body not know that yall won state last year and that yall r in the state champ. this year? I'd say you guys will have no more than 50 students at the state championship when we would've had around 500 or more

I never said your boys didnt put in just as much as ours did. All i meant by that was it was unfair for their efforts to end on the decision of a supposedly indifferent party.

Umm yeah I was on the front row of the BHS student section where we had prob. 12 rows full of students STANDING THE WHOLE GAME. Maybe yall did have students there but they were all sittin on their ###### except for prob. 30 of them. We wondered where all their students were b/c usually with a team that good u pack the stands. And if I'm not mistaken from the other side of the field there were empty seats. Some Smyrna fan told us the track would be filled by game time...BS yall didn't even have the whole stands full. Come to a Bearden game and then tell me about packed stands. Idc what anyone says but we have the best darn students in the state and we'll keep it up for basketball, baseball, and soccer!

will someone please tell me what was called bad against smyrna? because all the extremely bad calls i can think of were in smyrnas favor. oh and the majority of your stands were parents we were looking right at yall. and bearden would have never played a song like that considering we dont even play music after games. if the game was called fair i want to know why the refs sprinted off the field with cops surrounding them. obviously they were aware of what they did. its a shame to see bearden go through what they did and come this far just to get cheated out of a game that meant so much to these guys.

Yeah I'll admit we played ###### the first 3 quarters on offense, but our defense played amazing. Supposively Sonny was impossible to sack, but I believe we got to his ###### every time he tried to pass so yall started running. We dominated every aspect of the game except one very large one...the score. I'm a senior and to see all my friends down on the field crying their eyes out hurt me and made me cry. That was the last football game EVER for most of our team b/c we have prob. 2 juniors that play and the rest are seniors and for their football career to end the way it did is sad and ridiculous. These kids have been working their ###### off since they were prob. 8 years old and now their football career is OVER. NO more, done. You seniors at Smyrna and parents of seniors at Smyrna would be bitching like we are if the same exact thing happened to u. Good luck in the champ. I hope yall win so we can truly say we're the BEST TEAM IN THE STATE OF TENNESSEE!

If you are going to hold high school refs to 100% accountability standards, ponder this.....

 

That onside kick shouldn't have even been allowed because the kicker's plant foot was completely across the line, thus making him OFFSIDES!!!!!! This is why you see 99% of onsides go from right to left for right footed kickers so the left plant foot wouldn't be across the line. So since you Bearden fans want to whine about the refs getting everything correct, why haven't I heard this?

 

Actually NO!!! The kicker can have his plant foot across the line. As long as he does not miss the ball or not carry through with the kick he is not offsides. We argued this with the refs at the Farragut game and that what was how it was explained.

 

And yes Refs should be held accountable. No one is perfect except for one and he's not back yet. These guys get paid over $25.00 an hour to call a game, free food, close parking and police escorts, have the best seats in the house, the least they could do is do their job right. We all get on here and talk about coaches, players, parents, heck even announcers and paper reporters by name but I have yet to see a ref's name mentioned. There have been several times that I thought the ref's have called a game fair even when we came out on the losing end and I would have liked to have given them credit. However, I usually do not pay attention when they announce the refs by name. Does anybody else??? Maybe we should. I know I will from now on. That way we as fans can give credit where credit is do, good or bad. If one ref gets a lot of positive feedback maybe it will work out for him in the long run with the TSSAA or they can call the championship games. (By the way, how do they pick for that) If one ref gets to many negatives maybe someone in power will have the kahunas to check it out. The officals are there to call the game in a fair manner, not to a make a difference or be a deciding factor. In several games this year this has happend. As long as we as coaches, fans, parents, etc... set back and do not speak up about these issues then nothing will be done about it.
