CSAS vs Temple

Temple beat CSAS 4 times last year, including the region and state championships.

Temple graduated almost every significant player from that team. CSAS returned almost everyone.

CSAS is playing incredible basketball so far, and is probably itching for big-time revenge.

Should Temple even dress out for this game?

I'm pretty sure "bulletin board material" has to be said by the opposing team, not fans of the team.

I'd love to bet you on that prediction. Temple's got a giant-slaying tradition. There's no way CSAS wins this one by more than 10, if at all. CSAS's players better not be as over-confident as their fans, or everyone from 3rd street is gonna be crushed.

I can't believe I've got to wait 5 more days for this game.

explain to me how temple is a giant killer. the past ten years they've been the giant in single a.

Temple has the history on their side; question is, " Do they have the gameplan and enough horses?" Coach Markum will get them there later in the year but can they scheme Art and Science early enough to negate Arts and Science's athletisism? Should be a good one I wish I could be in Chattanooga for this one but got a game of my own. Don't sell Temple out they played Cleveland pretty tough.

but there is not a real good history with temple....i cant wait for this one though....because you know AS hasnt forgot that embarrassing series of games against temple last year...

Actually CSAS has had some pretty good history against Temple. last year was the only year that the Series was that lopsided the year before CSAS/Temple split. So dont think that temple has dominated this series because they havent.

CSAS 70

Temple 56

No doubt that Temple's been one of the best in their district since about 2001, but they schedule and win a lot of games above single A, and have proven in the state tourneys that they can beat teams no one in the arena expects them to beat.

Should be interesting. I don't think Temple has the talent to "out scheme" the Patriots. Will Temple have a large crowd?

Is it just me or is Cleveland a pretty good team? They played at the Blue Raiders and seemed to play well. I mean getting beat at the end of the game speaks volumes for them. What I mean by "scheme"; is there a weakness that CSAS has that Temple could exploit? I have not seen them play since last year so I don't know if they are playing at the same level that they were in the state tournament.

We know Temple is not near the team they were last year but I never underestimate Temple "heart". But Legend, you see them alot more than I do so I will tip my hat to you on this matter.

I do not think that Cleveland is as good as they were thought to be. CSAS beat Walker Valley which is picked to win that district. I just believe that when CSAS is firing on all cylinders no one will beat them. They play with an intensity that has yet to be matched except by a perinneal 5-A power from Georgia, Tift County.

Have you realized that there is no Skogen playing this year. Temple has 3 players. That is it. Don't fool yourself. Unless CSAS just lays an egg, they win this one easily.

Have you seen Temple play this year, when they come to play there as good as last year but they have more bodys that can score than just two last year.

The only team they have lost to have been very good teams such as Mccallie and Cleavland and could beat both of those team as i seen it was all mental with Mccallie only true lose was cleavland. They should beat Mccallie next time they meet them.

    • Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!
    • In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
